“This hotel and the grounds were very clean and welcoming. The employees from the Front desk, to restaurant, to housekeeping were all very friendly. We dined in restaurant 3 meals. (2 breakfasts and 1 dinner.) There were 4 of us , each ordering something different. We were all very full and satisfied.
Because we're all retired we take short overnight or 2-3 day getaways. What a surprise to come back to our room after a day sight-seeing and find housekeeping had replenished our towels……
“Well maintained motel in attractive location opposite Boldt Castle in Lake Ontario. Nice big outdoor pool. Can walk to the restaurants of Alexandria Bay. Be aware that they sometimes have motorcycle groups staying there ( noisy engines). Easy access to Canada via nearby 24/7 border crossing.”
“We loved everything about the stay. Our cabin was perfect for just the two of us for two nights. My boyfriend said the water pressure and temp was great in the shower. Only downside was weak wifi signal so we couldn’t watch the tv in our cabin”
“Lovely room with working gas fireplace. Bed was very comfortable. Service was fantastic from start to finish. They took extra care with our room and really took care of us for breakfast. It was cooked to order both days, and delicious! Kudos to Vicky and Hannah. Area was walkable as well, and very quiet. We would definitely come back.”
“Property is in the best location possible….can walk to everything. Comfortable and I loved the record player! Price is reasonable….3 bedrooms. Would recommend ”
“Very nice cottage. We would return to the same location. Only improvement that needs done is the holes in the driveway. Very very bumpy. Very quiet and we enjoyed the fire pit and view of the water. Even saw some freighters go by. ”
“This cabin had everything we needed. This was a nice getaway for us. We are from Rochester New York. So getting away from the city life was so peaceful and relaxing. We have already discussed a friends weekend and renting both cabins. Thanks for the great place to stay.”
“We had a wonderful stay! The property was beautiful, just as described and we loved having a fire pit and being able to walk around and see the river. Our cottage was beautiful and clean and had everything we could want. We would definitely stay here again, it was close to town but far enough away for privacy and peace and quiet.”
“George was a wonderful host! He was finishing up the yard work as we arrived, he graciously let us check in a few hours early as he had no guests the day prior. Very friendly and respectful. The home had everything we needed, was very clean aside from some dusty spots I wouldn’t have even noticed if it weren’t for my restless toddlers, and had a truly wonderful yard we were happy to run around in. Beds were comfy, AC was cold.. he even left a little toy for my son. 10/10”
