"A Perfect Introduction to Sri Lankan Hospitality Our stay at Wilpattu Tree House was nothing short of amazing and served as a perfect introduction to the warm and thoughtful hospitality of Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made sure every detail was taken care of, creating an experience that was both comfortable and memorable. One of our highlights was the safari tour of Wilpattu National Park, which our hosts graciously arranged for us. The driver they connected us with was clearly experienced and knew all the best spots to find the animals we were hoping to see — it felt like a true insider experience! Back at the treehouse, I found myself fully immersed in the peaceful surroundings. Resting on a lounge chair and listening to the sounds of the jungle was the perfect way to unwind and reconnect with nature. This place offers more than just a stay — it’s a peaceful window into the natural beauty, kind people, and rich culture of Sri Lanka. We also truly enjoyed the authentic Sri Lankan meals, full of flavor and clearly prepared with care. I wholeheartedly recommend Wilpattu Tree House to anyone looking for a unique and serene getaway. "The staff were really friendly, amazing food and really gorgeous place. They took us on a wildlife tour where we saw otters and loris all on their grounds! There is not much in the local area so you need to keep this in mind if planning to visit a shop or restaurant during your stay, it’s not really possible "

"Leopard Trails is a fabulous rustic luxury camp in the beautiful Wilpattu Park. This was one of our favorite stays in all of Sri Lanka! The Naturalist guide who took us on safari was attentive, knowledgable, and a genuinely great guy. Back at camp, the rooms were comfortable and the private dining candle lit dinners were magically romantic. I recommend the suite with the plunge pool, it was bliss after a hot and dusty drive on safari. Do not miss the opportunity to visit this special place! "

"Remote space to really get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We stayed at Kay Jay Wild’s for 2 nights so we could do a full day safari at Wilpattu. While Kay Jay Wild’s was close to an entrance of the national park, it was not the main entrance which meant we had to wake up earlier for our driver to drive to the other entrance which was ~40km more distance. Otherwise - service was great and every hotel staff was helpful, friendly and kind. "

"Beautiful location, quiet, sandy beach, large gardens and sea to swim in!All within walking distance. Take a tuk tuk to the local “high street”and choose your own fish for dinner cooked by a superb chef! Chill on the veranda watching the array of beautiful birds and knock down a coconut to mix your own cocktail! Sleep soundly under the mosquito nets and awake to the fabulous dawn chorus of the local birds and a flat Indian Ocean on your doorstep. Be pampered by your hosts who will arrange massages, trips and just welcome and make you feel at ease during your stay "

"The team at Big Game was amazing! We booked because we really wanted to do a safari and that was amazing but we were blown away be everything else! The food was above and beyond what I expected with 4 courses for dinner, 3 at lunch , and a very full breakfast. They list breakfast as continental but it's much more than that. The first tent we were in was fine but we upgraded part way through and really appreciated the extra space! "

"Pleasant simple SriLankan accommodation. Family friendly and welcoming. Pancakes for breakfast were tasty. Room was simple and clean. Bathroom and toilet were basic. Reflecting price range this was good value for money. Very rural. Local fishing area with boats being pulled up on beach in front of accommodation "
