We loved our stay at the Courtney Palace. It was the perfect place for us to stay in Victoria Falls. The location was great. It is a walk to the falls, but we really enjoyed the walk through the city to visit the shops and see local life. In fact, we encountered baboons, warthogs and saw an elephant right in the city. The wildlife experience is really something else there!

What a great find! It is a gated home with nice grounds and a pool. The beds were very comfortable and came with mosquito netting which was nice but not needed. The breakfasts were nice out on the patio. The upstairs honor bar was a nice place to hang out. Housekeeping did an amazing job as they neatly folded my clothes and hung up my shirts. I was embarrassed that they took it upon themselves to pick up after me. If you need a taxi service Jamel Safaris and taxis was very good. We used it...

I was visiting Harare and decided to make a quick trip to Victoria Falls. As soon as I arrived, I immediately realized this was not a place anyone should plan only a 1 night trip to.
The hotel offers complimentary shuttle to/fro the airport and around Victoria Falls village. Upon arrival at the hotel, a staff immediately showed up at the entrance with a fresh damp towel for my face and a pretty flower obtained from one of the trees around. The lobby was furnished Victorian style and was a...

Miombo Mews is a recently built apartment rental. Due to its recent completion, the rooms are in excellent condition and offers plenty of amenitites. The provided stove (complete with cookware) allows you to either cook your own meals and also boil water with the tea kettle to add to the provided filtered water and any water bottles you may have. The washer, although finicky at times, at least lets you clean any clothes you may have gotten dirty while trekking in the hot African sun. In order to...

The staff was absolutely amazing - so friendly and knowledgeable and adaptable to our changing schedule. The food was plentiful and delicious, and served whenever we wanted! The included perks were beyond wonderful - airport transport and laundry were great for logistical reasons, but the elephant encounter, canopy zip line, sunset at the gorge (x2) and tour of the falls were all so amazing. I cannot say enough about this Lodge. If I can give it more than five stars I would come, especially because of the hostess Thandi. From the initial check-in to every day when I saw her, she took care of every meat I had. She made sure that I pre-ordered my meals. She took care of booking my chores and a dinner in the evening. She made sure that I got a ride too and from the airport. The staff at the restaurant was exceptional. I was the only guest in the hotel for two out of the four nights and...
