This is a unique property and a great place to stay in Detroit. It was a cool historic spot with tons of space for your group. Everything was clean and there were some fun details that made it feel special. Overall excellent. Downfalls: parking was hard to figure out and this location might not be great for those who aren't used to spending time in the city. Stick to the suburban spots if that's your jam.

Check-in process was easy but a bird had gotten into the house from the roof but Ed took care of it immediately. This is the second time we've rented this property and we will be renting it again.

Great property to host a group in the heart of downtown. Lots of small pleasant amenities (ex travel shampoo, convenient coffee makers w pods, Kirkland popcorn). Multiple small blemishes to the property (ex. A sunken floorboard is a trip hazard, a broken sink) and the factors of being downtown (ex unhoused folks nearby, noisy traffic) may deter some, but I would think would be somewhat expected with a downtown Vrbo. Sleeps two queen beds, two futons, and two bunk beds (one is a double). There is an open stairwell from the ground floor entrance to your two floors, so if the U of M grad lounge was in use, that could be noisy, but it was quiet the entire summer weekend we were here.I’d love to come back for a guys or girls weekend.

Beautiful building, great location. Fun for women’s getaway. Great amount of towels and pillows. However, there was mold in fridge, Paint cans out, broken toilet seat, ceiling tile in 2nd floor shower was missing and sink upstairs was out of order. Some of these things could be easily fixed and would have increased overall rating.
