Absolutely no complaints. Everything was clean, food was good anf plentiful. All the people we met were super friendly. It was a really unique place to stay in and we enjoyed it alot.
A shout out to Tanya who was fabulous during our stay and went above and beyond in ensuring we made it to the cruise port to catch our ship. Thank you also to her husband for driving us there!
Check in was quick and easy, every staff member I spoke with was helpful and friendly, food was excellent and very reasonably priced, room was clean and tidy, only small downside is room was rather small as was the TV, but did nt take anything away from a pleasant stay

The hotel was good for one night - a place to rest your head. It is not somewhere that I would have booked for a longer stay. It was an okay experience.
Small town, good jumping off point for Inverness and northern Scotland. Bar and dining downstairs, grocery store just next door, easy access to the highway. Pretty quiet where we were towards the back, gulls made the most noise of anything, but nothing thst bothered us.
Room itself was fine, we ended up in a triple room somehow (just me and my wife), so space was a little tight with a queen and a twin bed, but it was ok. Bathroom was ok too, no real issues.
All in all, nice enough stay.
Room adequate though mystified why no plug for kettle unless it was on the floor! Our evening meal was very nice. Sadly breakfast was not. Dreadfully short staffed. Lady cooking was apparently also the only staff available to pay. We waited an hour after ordering , poached eggs were hard and cold on cold toast. Had to keep asking for toast for marmalade . No water in coffee machine and young very pleasant waitress was unsure how it worked. The coffee wasn’t nice either. 2 customers walked out sick of waiting. We did get a £10 refund. Live music previous night finished at around 10.45 but meant drunk guests noisy till 1.0 am. Not hotels fault but very annoying . Sadly we won’t return.
Novar Arms Hotel. Is warm & friendly, from the bonnie lasses behind the bar & waitress,+ locals on my side of bar, Food is excellent, comfy bed how could ask for MORE.
Lovely stay with my dog
Room had been redecorated and bathroom refurbished recently
Dinner was good , generous portions and sensibly priced
There is a great woodland for dog walks on the doorstep
Had a 1 night stay here whilst working away.
Lovely little hotel with friendly staff. Good food & drink options & being on the NC500 route a good atmosphere around the pub with others visitors also interacting with eachother.
Would recomend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay around that area.
