Check in went smoothly, and the host on staff was very courteous. Overall, the stay was okay. The room was clean, and it had pretty good amenities, like a refrigerator, microwave, and television. There were towels and common toiletries: shampoo, soap, and lotion. There wasn't a hair dryer, but I brought my own anyway. I got a decent sleep, and the A/C worked very well.
The breakfast was okay. It was pretty basic, but there was a waffle maker. There just weren't too many other options apart from cereal, oatmeal, bagels, toast, and one kind of muffin. I believe it's a standard continental breakfast with the added waffle perk.
My only issues were the size of the room--a bit smaller than I prefer--and the overall condition of things. You can tell this is an older hotel that has been updated somewhat recently, but some of the updates are starting to wear out.
Would I stay here again? I would hesitate to say "yes." The room served its purpose, but I have stayed in other Cortez places that I enjoyed more.
