The Falstaff Hotel

"A lovely two night stay at this great hotel so near to everything the only negative and this was my fault I asked for a high floor in this horrific heat which is what I got the only problem it was second floor do in the eaves of the building and it was extremely hot. That was the only negative but again that was my fault! Breakfast was good buffet style and then we ordered hot food from the menu. Staff were very helpful would definitely recommend if visiting Canterbury"

"The hotel was very clean. Staff was wonderful. Some basic amenities were missing. EG. No phones in the rooms. Missing items such as enough towels, mini fridge and no AC. The AC probably isn’t needed. However, we spent 2 1/2 days there during a heat wave and sleep was pretty much impossible due to the heat. The one small window will only tilt out 2-3 inches. Very little air made its way in. The attached restaurant was great especially their wait staff. Sam was an incredible credit to the restaurant. She was wonderful."

"Hotel was very clean,staff very helpful. Breakfast was ok but the quality of cooked food could have been better. We went for a wedding which was lovely. We didn't use the spa or pool as only there for one night. It was the hottest day of the year and in the parts that were air conditioned it was ok but the actual wedding was outside in the garden and there was no shade for the quests we were all melting and got sun burnt so would advise if its the reason for your visit take hats or umbrella. I would have thought as a main wedding venue that this should have been a priority under the circumstances. The plus side is if you love the beach it is just across the road."

"I had a very enjoyable stay at the Dover Marina Hotel & Spa, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The hotel’s location is excellent, overlooking the waterfront and conveniently close to the ferry terminal and town centre. The only downside was that the room was quite small, especially with luggage, but it was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the room cool throughout my stay, which made a big difference. The highlight was undoubtedly the restaurant. Dinner exceeded my expectations, with delicious, beautifully prepared food and generous portions. Every dish was full of flavour and clearly made with care. The service was equally impressive. The staff were friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The hotel staff throughout the property were courteous and helpful from check-in to departure, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Although I would have preferred a larger room, the cleanliness, comfort, excellent dining, and outstanding service more than made up for it. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would happily recommend the Dover Marina Hotel & Spa to anyone visiting Dover. I would certainly stay here again."

"Very welcoming and helpful. Self serve breakfast was great with so many options. Easy walk from train station and to the Market Square. Very clean and accommodating should you need early or late baggage storage. Staff will assist with scheduling transport to cruise terminal. Highly recommend. Fabulous stay. Near historic White Horse Salon and St. James Church. Can’t praise enough."

"Perfectly fine for an overnight or short stay. No amenities on site, simply a room. Room very comfortable with large smart TV, nice spacious and powerful shower, fridge and excellent air-con to keep room cool during heatwave. Window overlooked the river outside. Bathroom toiletries weren't labelled up. Bedside light had a loose, dodgy wire. Staff friendly and welcoming. Good location within walking distance of town centre, beaches, castle and train station. Paid less than £50 for night so good value for money."
