Overall the property was convenient and comfortable for what we needed. Access to the national parks is within 30 mins. The rooms were nice and cool and check in was easy. They even provided an email with great links to some of the best sights to see around the area. Having a restaurant onsite was convenient but expect to pay high prices for mediocre food. We were up early, but I can see how some travelers may find the road / truck noise loud in the mornings.

We liked the location, relatively close to Sequoia national park. The food at the restaurat was also good. However, the room was really tiny, especially the bathroom, so cramped that I had to avoid hitting the tablet above the sink when standing off the toilet. The air conditioning, already on when whe arrived, was working well, but was old and very noisy. We had to leave it on the whole stay due to the heat outside (over 37°C). Don't get me wrong, everything was functional, but the room was not worth the price asked. This is worth a 75$ CDN per night at best, not the 190$ CDN we paid. Also, in the property description, a "shared refrigerator" was mentioned. However, when I asked for a space on the fridge, the employee told me I had to pay 10 USD per night.

This was an okay place to stay. The AC worked well but sharing the washroom area was a little awkward. It was close to King’s Canyon but there wasn’t really anything else nearby. Supper at the restaurant was okay as well.

It was clear from the description we received after we booked what we had booked for. However this was not what we were expecting when we booked. There is a bed in a shed. If you are lucky there is a chair too. And maybe a shelf. There is a ladder to a mezzanine platform with another mattress there. It has Aircon BUT with the current level of heat it struggles for hours to get down to a supportable level. Our original cabin, the green one called Susan does not have any windows. This is something my wife can't take. If you open the door for natural light then the Aircon struggles even more. It says you can use the kitchen area which has a fridge but there is an additional charge of ten dollars for this which seemed a bit rough to us. The room was clean and the bedlinen was good. The communal toilets and showers were clean and OK.

By far the best place to stay and dine at in and around Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. The owners and staff were the absolute best. I greatly appreciate them for accommodating us, as our original stay had to be cancelled due to a nearby severe wildfire which cut out all power in the region on the first day of our trip. The power returned on our third day, and the owner stayed in constant contact with us with updates by detailed text messages and phone calls throughout this time. We had to stay at other lodging facilities in and around the park our first two days, and this staff gave us great guidance on alternative locations. Once the power returned, we were able to stay for the last two nights of our vacation. We enjoyed this facility the most by far. It is the best value as lodging in the parks start at over twice the costs of staying here. We stayed in the red building which was very clean and comfortable. The other buildings were very clean. All the staff were very friendly at all times. The food at the restaurant was as good as if not better than anything we bought inside the parks. The atmosphere was perfect in what we were looking for - an outdoorsy experience that is a step up in comfort from camping in the parks. I only wish there were more of these types of places around other National Parks to give us a budget friendly, atmospheric experience that Gena's Sierra Inn and Restaurant provided to us.

Close to the parks which was nice and easy check-in. However, the bed felt rock solid and we heard rodents crawling in the walls of Creekside Cottage during the night. This made for a very poor night of sleep. At the price point- I expected way more.

Too dirty. Narrow spaces for the rooms. Tellible facilities to stay. I trust the facilities controlled by expedia.com. This time, I could stay and left right away without staying. I drove more 50 minutes and selected other hotel to stay. I lost $ 131.

Our “cabin” was supposed to have 2 queen sized beds and a bunk bed. The cabin was actually a 10x12 storage barn with a separate communal bathroom/shower building. The queen bed was a mattress in a loft above the rest of the room accessible by a rickety ladder. The A/C had been left off so the shed was very hot when we checked in. I had to climb the ladder to adjust the A/C to max. Took a shower and discovered the shower floor was a made of concrete pavers and gravel. . We decided to eat dinner at Gina’s . Limited menu. Ordered 2 salads , they gave us the wrong ones. We sent them back and waited 15 minutes to get the correct salads. Observed our waitress take the trash to the dumpster and grab a smoke break just before returning with our salads. Overall not a great experience

Glamping…. In a tough shed….bed was comfortable. Shed had tv, and ac, and did have two queen beds, but the “stairs” to reach the loft bed was really a ladder which made the second bed unusable for us. No water in the room and toilet facilities were shared. There is only one restroom/shower shared by all guests. Was a bit shocked when I walked in to find a person of the other sex using the same facilities. Locking door to facilities was unlocked when I used them in the middle of the night because the door does not lock automatically and other guests did not lock it when they left. Management offers free earplugs because the sheds are close to the busy road. It is close to the national parks and so is very convenient. This was not what we thought we reserved, but stayed one night of the two we reserved and payed for because we wanted to visit the national parks. We left early to stay the night elsewhere at a motel with water and plumbing in room……

The room was very small, just big enough to put a Queen bed, a chair and a night stand. For the price that I paid, I could not complain much. It is only about 20-mile away from Kings Canyon National Parks entrance so it is convenient. It is right next to the Highway 180 so there are a lot of traffics. You would be waked very early in the morning if you are a light sleeper.

The chalet was a glorified tool shed, but the pictures and description can kind of tell you that. It was peaceful outside by the little stream. The bed was as hard as a rock and it was bright in the morning because of no curtains. We ate dinner there, it was ok but we didn’t expect much. The staff were nice but not open the next day.

Upon entering the room, we were startled by a large spider behind the curtains, which was quite alarming. Regrettably, the room did not match its depiction on the website. The bedsheets were noticeably stained and the TV’s speakers were malfunctioning. Additionally, the adverse weather during our visit resulted in power outages, affecting both the electricity and water supply due to reliance on pumps. Unfortunately, the lack of a generator exacerbated the situation, rendering the amenities non-functional. Overall, our experience at Sequoia was marred by these issues.
