Nice place to stay

Room was clean and spotless. The hosts Jeramy and Noi were fantastic! Lovely fire going with comfy couches. The Thai food and breakfasts were excellent! Would definitely stay again! Cheers P and K

We were greeted by Noah and he served us breakfast each morning and made our stay more pleasant with his cheerfulness. We slept over the Pub and surprisingly had a great nights sleep for all three nights! We were in walking distance of market square and city shopping! Parks close by and Cam river. Enjoyed our stay!

Loved this place. Gorgeous little pub with large rooms in separate annex. Staff were all super friendly and accommodating, rooms were beautiful, clean and cosy and food (we had dinner and breakfast) was delicious. Highly recommend for anyone staying in or around Newmarket area.

We only had a one night stay while we took in a show in Ely. The staff were really happy and helpful. A small boutique establishment but steeped in history. Although there was maintenance work going on it didn't detract from a lovely experience, the whole building was still immaculately clean. The Packhorse Inn was a very pleasant inn to stay at for my business trip! The room itself was well air conditioned and the amenities were very comfortable. Any extras needed such as ironing board, etc were readily available from the staff. Had breakfast and supper multiple evenings of my trip and always enjoyed them throughly. Great stay. The staff are helpful and friendly.

The room was very nice, large flatscreen TV, nice little porch seating area in front of my room. I did not use the pool, but it is heated. There is a train line that goes by that you can hear, but it did not bother me. In addition to a free continental breakfast, they will make to order breakfast, depending on the time for a charge. I had two very minor issues but they were resolved quickly. I would highly recommend this property.

Great people and very friendly. The English breakfast is huge, and extremely tasty. The bed was a little bit lumpy, and might need to be replaced soon, but I would stay with them again if I were to go to Royston again.

As an American, I don't get to have the pub experience. Everything - from the building to the food to the room to the surroundings to the staff - was absolutely charming. It was a wonderful experience.

The quaint historic room was comfortable and with an en- suite and soaking tub. The restaurant was like a high level restaurant with an extensive menu. I had the Rogan Josh curry which was amazing. The potato soup was the BEST I have EVER had!! Our breakfast was very good too. Full English with local sausage. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. It was so peaceful and quiet. Worth being a little bit out of town. So relaxing.

Lovely, spacious room, with great A/C, which was well needed during a recent hour spell! The bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. And breakfast was great!

The staff here is truly wonderful! As there is no elevator, they helped us to take our bags upstairs to our rooms. I was working a good portion of our trip and the wifi here was great. The employees offered suggestions on places we could walk to visit in the town and made sure to let us know if the pub kitchen was closing in case we wanted to order.
