Ideally situated for accessing Edinburgh or the golf courses and beaches of East Lothian. The accommodation forms the East Wing of our home and has its own front door, private garden and gated driveway. The house has a fully equipped modern kitchen, Wi-Fi, 55 inch Smart TV with Netflix and Prime. The village has 2 shops, Petrol Station, a new Gastropub - The Winton, opened in Aug, 2022-very busy, would recommend booking, and the Glenkinchie Whisky distillery. The area was ideal to take the dog for long or short walks. Sandra the owner was very welcoming and we even got a starter set for Breakfast. Sandra was so polite and gave us a lift and even picked us up from an appointment with her own car and had an eye on our dog while we were away. The hosts were very personable and very willing to help with ideas of what to see and where to eat. Also, the Hosts were very kind and upon our arrival there was a bottle of wine, 2 apples, 2 bananas, package of bagels and shortbread cookies. Milk in the refrigerator along with butter and marmalade. We were disappointed there was not a clothes dryer as mentioned in the listing. When we asked the host about it, she said the dryer is the clothes line. Not sure that qualifies as a dryer. Also being from the desert in Nevada, USA I was cold and the host said the thermostat resets to 18 degrees Celsius or 61 degrees Fahrenheit. Luckily there were several blankets in the living room and I was able to be comfortable.
