The property is very nice. Easy walk to from train station and to the Royal Mile, the castle and National Gallery. A lot of construction which made the area noisy and difficult to walk with luggage.

We were in Edinburgh for a Taylor Swift concert. The hotel was very Swift friendly, with face painting available in the lobby, fun bracelets handed at check-in, a photo-op Taylor cutout , info handouts and Swiftie cocktails. So, it was fun, very welcoming and helpful with information. The room was small for three people, but clean and in good condition. The breakfast was excellent too. Staff generally went the extra mile to be friendly and helpful. The only negative issue was keeping my niece waiting in the lobby for two hours. She had travelled a long way and arrived late in the evening. We had mentioned that she would be doing that and that she would need a room key when she got there. I wasn’t asked for a name or further information. Staff had changed by the time she arrived. Although she gave the correct name for the room booking, was clearly arriving to stay and the room was clearly booked for three, she was not allowed to go to the room. She had to sit in the lobby and wait until we got back - for two hours! I was not happy with that at all. I understand about security arrangements, but I had notified the hotel that she would be arriving in exactly the way she did. She was tired and it was not a good start to her special weekend. Everything else was perfect. So I feel a bit bad complaining. It was not a good situation though. It did not spoil the weekend overall and, otherwise, the hotel was great.

Great hotel in ideal location. Rooms are clean, comfortable and have everything you need for your stay. Staff are friendly and really helpful. Location is opposite Waverley station and a minute from the royal mile. I wouldn’t look anywhere else now when visiting Edinburgh!

This is the nicest smelling hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were clean and seemed recently redone, the showers were lovely and large, everything about this hotel is pleasant. I would definitely stay with the same company in other locations.

Booked this property very last minute. Visited for Taylor Swift concert. Hotel was 2 minute walk to Royal Mile and Waverly Station, very centrally located. Staff was lovely and hotel was clean. Rooms were very small but fine for just a few nights. The general area around the hotel wasn’t anything special and had some construction going on, but for a few nites in a central location it worked perfectly!

Beautiful hotel. Very clean. We arrived by train and were so happy that the hotel was just a five minute walk from the station. The royal mile with all the shops and restaurants was literally a 3 minute walk. Arthur’s Seat trail was only 15 minute walk. Shopping district a 10 minute walk. This hotel will always be my choice on future visits to Edinburgh.

Great location, we didn’t have enough hangers in the wardrobe white was annoying because there wasn’t dressers so we had to live out of our suitcase. We paid extra for the breakfast which was worth it.

Felt the property was average. Had a room with double and twin bed - but it felt like it should have just been a double room. The beds were very close together and there was no room around them. Construction right outside the window which was noisy from 7 am. Rooms on the front of the building were probably much better with a view and away from the construction.

Location was perfect. The room had no sitting chair and a small table like the other hotels so we had to sit on the bed, that was a little uncomfortable. But overall it was a nice place.

The hotel is 250 metres from the main train station downtown so couldn’t be more convenient. The room was tastefully done and very clean. The staff were friendly and efficient.

Hotel was very centrally located. It's essentially across the street from the Waverley train station which made it a good choice for me. Staff was friendly and efficient. Only real complaint was that there was construction happening and there was a bunch of scaffolding directly outside my window, so I kept the blinds mostly closed so workers couldn't see in. It was also a bit noisy in the mornings when they started working, but otherwise that's more of an unlucky timing thing than a major issue. I'd stay there again if I was in Edinburgh on another trip, as it was a good spot and very convenient for getting around the main attractions of the city.
