"Hospitality second to none. Very nice home setting with great breakfast. I gave them an average rating on "Comfort" simply because their bath room was incredibly small. I am a big boy and my wife had several laughs at me meeting the challenge.

That was not that convenient, however both windows could be opened full! We had 2 nights with dinner in buffet style, that is certainly not something we will take again, the first evening the service was ok, but the second evening, the plates of the first dish where still on the table and it was difficult to order a drink. The food was ok, but certainly not value for...

When we booked, the room says valley view but since our room was on a lower level it actually overlooks the driveway and the parking lot. All night long, you can hear cars driving up. I think if we had a higher level room it would have been more enjoyable. "

"My wife and I are from the US and wanted to visit Rüdesheim. We called the hotel the day before our arrival to confirm our reservation and talked to the Sweetest lady. She provided great information and told us we were all set. We arrived by train and were allowed to check in early. The check in process was easy, loads of helpful information was provided. They gave us a beautiful room on the German first floor (2nd floor) with an amazing view of the Rhine River. The room was so spacious and clean. The bathroom was a little small but had everything we needed. Other reviews mentioned the noise but we didn’t notice anything to complain about. We are staying in Germany for another five weeks and my wife is begging me to take her back to the Krone hotel for another three night visit. We highly recommend this hotel for location, breakfasts, cleanliness, friendly staff, wonderful rooms but most importantly the value. "

We went for Rhine in flames festival and great views of 2 firework displays and boats. River boats stop just opposite hotel and great value 'ring ticket' allows open ski lift to top of hill, walk to next ski lift down into Rudenheim, and then boat return for £20."

Receptionist went out of her way to ensure we were safely parked in the hotel parking lot appropriately 100 meters from hotel, through village. Room was clean and renovated. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Front desk staff extremely friendly and helpful with all of our questions. Provided us with helpful guidance for touring this beautiful area of Germany. "Well, you get what you pay for... We didn't want to stay in a hotel in the heart of town, because you don't get much room to move around in your room, and no refrigerator or microwave, just a bed to sleep in. So we opted for this little cottage. So you do get a microwave and refrigerator, but still not much room to move round in. And you're not really in the center of town, you still have to take a bus or drive into town, so you might as well have stayed in a hotel. I don't know, I wish I could be more positive, but the place is tiny and cluttered and the check-in process was far from ideal. I wish I had stayed somewhere else..."

The restaurant food was great and Marco also took our order and sat down with us and answered every question about the area. The absolute best service I've ever had!!!
