"A lovely quiet place perfect for a night away. Clean and comfortable. Great host, always there to help out. Just be aware that the hot tub is a paid extra, something that is not mentioned but that is not the hosts fault. They are unsure why that information is missing from the listing. Hotels.com were useless at trying to sort that out. But don't hesitate to book this place, just maybe drop them a message about using the hot tub first. "The hotel was very dated and our room was small. We were in an attic room and the stairs up to it were steep and not very wide.There was far too much furniture in the room for the size of it. The bed was a very small double bed but it was clean. There was nowhere near the dressing table to plug in my hairdryer or straightners. The meals at night were ok but the breakfast was really good. All of the staff were helpful and very pleasant. We enjoyed the beer garden but it could have been better kept."

"Good location, parking was plentiful and appeared safe. Hotel room was clean as were the linens and towels however our room was above the bar and you could hear people chatting downstairs. The shower was small but functional, although the shower door was broken. Corridors to the rooms were tired and needed some tlc. Unfortunately we had to leave early so couldn't enjoy breakfast to it's fullest but the buffet bit was well stocked although some pastries would have been welcome as we couldn't wait for a cooked breakfast. All in all good value for the money we paid "

"Very nice hotel, lovely staff and clean amenities. One tiny grudge was that there were no vegan options for breakfast which was weird as they had vegan evening meals (the Moving Mountains burger was excellent). Shame as a couple of vegan sausages or bacon isn't difficult to do. Ended up with mushrooms, beans and a hash brown so not the end of the world and they did have dairy free milks for hot drinks. Other than that the hotel was lovely and would definitely stay again."

"We had a room in what was called "The Stables "it was a good size with a nice modern bathroom,there was a kettle and tea,coffee,milk etc .Room was very clean .There was also a fan to use due to the very hot weather.It is situated very well ,not far to walk to shops , cathedral, plenty of bars ,coffee shops etc Very quick check in ,plenty of staff all that were very helpful and friendly. Ate in the restaurant in the evening ,food was fine and had breakfast the next morning which was good"
