"The concierge brought our luggage up to our room. We weren’t even there, and he left my coffee mug on the new sofa. In the end, I was treated unfairly, as if I’d been the one to do it. The restaurant staff, especially the women, also behaved appallingly when, at 10.30 am, they were told they could clear the tables. They started shovelling food into their mouths in front of the guests whilst clearing the Buffet.. The valet also failed to follow my instructions. I told him the handbrake was broken and asked him to please put a note in the car, otherwise it would make a terrible noise – but of course, he didn’t do it. Positive: It was very nice that we were given a brand-new, refurbished room. The safe wasn't working. There were coffee capsules, but no coffee machine. There was hot water for tea, but no tea. This is the first time I’ve had a complaint. I’ve been going there for years otherwise. I can clearly remember the concierge from the valet service, who’s certainly been working there for over 40 years. Of all the hotel staff, he was the only one who was genuinely helpful;TOP "

"The Hotel Garden in Zagreb was a wonderful experience. The beds were firm, but not unforgivingly hard as in most European hotels. The staff was the real jewell of the hotel. They were pleasant, kind and helpful in so many ways. The hotel is in a great location with ready access to the tram system, and easy to walk to most of the sites downtown. The breakfast was ample and had sufficient variety with nice pastries."

"The four of us (two couples) stayed in late April 2026. When the description reads "luxury apartment," it was spot on! From a fluffy robe for each guest to the endless hot water and fantastic water pressure for a shower to rejuvenate us after a LONG flight from the US, it was the perfect location to serve as our headquarters to see all of Zagreb city center and beyond. The beds were comfy, the power blinds were great for privacy and blocking out light for sleeping. A beautifully appointed kitchen had everything we needed and more. And Ziljka couldn't have been a more gracious host--SO responsive to every question and providing helpful information and suggestions!! We will definitely stay here again if we're able to get back to Zagreb. It really contributed to our fantastic experience. "
