The front desk girl was super nice and helpful. She had red and black hair and was so sweet. The room wasn’t too bad but there were huge cracks all over the ceiling that made it look like the second floor was going to fall down into my room and when I went to pull the shower curtain back a dry dirty ran fell from on top of the shower rod. So that was pretty gross. Beds were comfortable so if you’re just looking for somewhere to lay your head for cheap it works.

This is one of the most unique and beautiful properties in Lafayette if not Louisiana. The landscaping, the historic architecture, and breakfasts all contributed to a truly amazing stay. I was lucky to stay in the Live Oak cabin with a swing on the porch. Sitting there early in the morning listening to birds or watching the rain from a passing storm was unparalleled. The proprietor Donell Totaro was lovely to talk to about the property and surrounding area. There is no place else to stay in Lafayette - this is where you should be.
