The national capital Athens is situated 75 miles (121 kilometers) northwest of Finikas.
Try not to limit yourself to Finikas; the wider region features plenty of natural and man-made attractions just waiting to be explored. If you are keen to experience more of the region, head 4 miles (6 kilometers) to Syros. Here you can spend an hour or two visiting the Ermoupolis Town Square and St. Nicholas Church.
