I’ve been coming to San Luis Beach Hotel in San Andrés for years. It was never a perfect property, but what always made it special was the peaceful beachfront atmosphere and direct access to one of the best stretches of beach on the island.
Unfortunately, that peace is now gone.
The hotel is now offering day passes, allowing outside guests to come in, drink, party, and overcrowd the beach area with wristbands. What used to feel relaxing and exclusive now feels busy and chaotic.
Instead of focusing on bringing in large groups for day access, management should invest more into improving and maintaining the property itself. The location is incredible, but the overall guest experience has clearly changed.
I truly hope whoever made this decision reconsiders it, because longtime guests who loved this hotel for its calm atmosphere are noticing the difference.
