"This was a great property for our family to have rented as it was spacious and had all the amenities that we needed. Lovely location within walking distance of the beautiful sandy beach and local shops. Would definitely recommend this property and destination to overs. "

"The cottage had been beautifully renovated and was located centrally in the old district of town. A couple of small things would have improved the stay-the stairs to the second storey were steep and a bannister rail would have been appreciated, several basic supply items were lacking- no tea bags or fire lighters to light the kindling and wood supplied, and the heating automatically turned off after short periods and not all heaters appeared to be working. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay."

"Our stay over Christmas in the beautiful Kestral cottage was superb. Jean and Amy made us feel very welcome and went 'above & beyond' to make our stay perfect. The cottage has all the amenities you could ask for and was spotlessly clean. We would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to spend a quiet break in County Durham. Say hi to the llamas!"

"This is a versatile accommodation for business, pleasure, families. Set in a fantastic location at the bottom of penshaw monument. There are some many places within a short drive. If you don’t want to drive there is lots to do in the immediate surrounding area. A short walk and you are down by the river, where there is a great coffee shop or friendly pub. "Had the most wonderful stay at Bolton Farm. Usually when coming to stay at places it lacks utensils and facilities, however Bolton Farm had everything you needed. The hosts kept the house and hot tub clean/heated throughout our stay. Perfect location with lovely views of fields. Lovely little Italian about a 5 minute walk away. Short drive into Durham itself. Thank you so much for making my dad's birthday a special one!"
