“A lovely house within walking distance mce of the shops, and amenities. Room was clean and warm. Very nice breakfast. Shared bathroom but this wasn't a problem. Didn't need to queue or anything like that. Lovely friendly owner.”

Die Inhabern ist außerordentlich freundlich und hilfsbereit und bereitet ein sehr gutes Frühstück frisch zu, wozu sogar ein aufwendig geschnittener frischer Fruchtsalat zählt.. Insgesamt habe ich es bedauert, wegen meiner Reisepläne nur eine Nacht dort verbringen zu können und kann die Unterkunft nur zu 100 % weiterempfehlen.”

“Great location and access, though paid parking is a nuisance during an extended stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable if a bit oddly shaped, being squeezed into an older building. The breakfast cold buffet and full (hot) Scottish order process is more than adequate. The Bothy Bar is cozy and inviting, serving Orkney's great beers and whiskies.”

“The ground floor is being renovated, so reception is at The Kirkwall Hotel next door. So there is investment here. That being said, hopefully the rooms and floors are next. The existing building is shabby, though my small, single room was functional at best. 5'x10', plus a small bathroom that could do with new sink fixtures. The tight shower had hot water and good water pressure. Staff next door were very helpful and welcoming. Park nerely anywhere "there's no traffic warden".”
