Very attractive room and newly renovated property. We felt very safe staying at this location. It is Acroos the street from Colorado State University campus. We were able to walk around with convenience and ease. The restaurant on site was very good. We really enjoyed our stay. Staff directed us to other nearby sites.

We went to a bull riding event and a concert, and it was very convenient to walk from the Buxton hotel to Canvas Stadium and back without having to Uber. Staff was pleasant and the room was very clean and comfortable.

It was easy to find and is a good location. We left our car parked and walked to downtown. We stayed for only one night and did not use the pool or spa. The room came with a tablet, headphones and a infrared mask. The room was clean and I love how it was decorated. The lobby/check in area very cutely decorated and I was pleasantly surprised. We did go to The Caldwell for dinner and a drink. It is cutely decorated as well and has a great relaxing atmosphere. The cornbread is excellent and it is great that it is on site.

Great location for proximity to CSU and Old Town. Super helpful staff made the stay enjoyable and overcame any issues. Renovation has made good use of the space, the room is clean and nicely finished, and the basics are all available. Better than expected.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Buxton. The staff are amazing. The location's proximity to CSU and Old Town Fort Collins make it ideal for a FoCo stay. While some things, like an in room refrigerator might be an issue for some, the other amenities more than make up for it. We enjoyed trying the red light mask and the Vegas nerve stimulator, and if things like the pink and black decor don't tell you all you need to know about the vibe, these might. What they've done to renovate this older motel is simply superb. The grounds and room were spotless. The morning coffee in the lobby was better than most other places we've stayed. The staff went above and beyond. We live local and we will certainly come back for another staycation in the future.

The property was fine, the staff performed to the best of their ability, and the amenities were nice. However, there was some confusion when I checked out one night earlier than anticipated. My partner and I left early due to a family emergency, and when I asked about a partial refund, I was directed to Expedia, where I booked. When I attempted to reach Expedia, I was directed to the travel insurance that I’d purchased. To be honest, it felt like no one wanted to be say, “You’re not going to receive a partial reimbursement”, which sucked.

Recently updated. Fun decor. Pool and hot tub were nice. Didn't have very much interaction with staff other than the woman who checked us in, but she was pleasant and courteous. The room was nice, with lots of new things, but have a couple of aspects that seem a bit like a "polished turd". I say that lightly and would certainly stay here again. The only annoyances were we were there for 3 nights and there was no fridge in our room, and the scent of the provided soaps, shampoo, and conditioner was like bug spray. The AC was very loud in my opinion . Certainly wouldn't matter to someone who isn't a light sleeper.

This was the first time I stayed at The Buxton, a Best Western Motel. I stayed here because of the close proximity to the Colorado State University campus. This motel was built in the 1960s and was recently renovated. My room had a wonderful retro vibe that made it quite relaxing! My room included a king-sized bed, which was very comfortable. Overall, the room was clean and cozy. The shower had excellent water pressure and plenty of towels and washcloths are provided in the tiled-floor bathroom. Parking is free, with a lot of available spaces. Checking in and out was a breeze and the front-desk staff are very courteous. I would definitely stay here again. The motel restaurant was closed due to renovations (will open in a couple of weeks), but there are plenty of great breakfast options in historic downtown Fort Collins. My only criticism: the desk in the room is ridiculously narrow in terms depth/width, which was located directly under the wall-mounted flat screen TV. I suppose this was chosen for the sake of space. A desk with a more standard width would be more functional for guests.

I’m normally a Marriott guy but would stay here ina heartbeat again. Beats any of the courtyard, Fairfield, and spring hill brands. Upgraded room amenities like towels, bedding, etc. it’s a converted motel but they did such a nice job with it. Great value and location to campus.

This is a good remodel of an older facility. A couple of things need to be improved: The heating units are WAY too noisy. We were in a ground-level unit, and there was no "privacy" curtain, so when we opened the curtain anyone could see into our unit. Really, if these two things were fixed, we would have no problem giving this facility a 5-star rating.
