Lots of potential, but room for for improvement.

Infinity pool was super cloudy/murky/dirty the first day there and then closed our second day with construction going on. They could've kept the pool open and construction away from the pool, but didn't. The beach food service was really slow day one with one waitress serving the entire beach. The second day, still only one waiter on the beach. He was faster, but they need more waiters/waitresses to serve food. One of the two elevators in the Marina tower did not work our entire stay, which on a couple occasions, made for long waits. The beach food and room service food was really good. Check in was a breeze as well. Need to complete renovations and have more support staff to compete with Mariott service next door.

Vacation in Fort Lauterdale

Pros: location
Cons: The quality of coffee and pastry in the coffee shop in the lobby left much to be desired. The seating for free rMermaid show was not well organized.
Location: We RENTED A CAR, had no problem going to places.
On the whole it was pleasant. Proximity to the beach was our first priority, we had it. Watching sunrises and sunsets was a big bonus. Excess to the hotel from the parking lot was on the third floor through a gallery running above the street level,, also an advantage, we did not have to cross the street with a very heavy traffic.. The pool was open round the clock, which was also convenient.The staff was very friendly.,

Just OK.

Pros: The hotel is right on the beach and your resort fee includes the towels and beach chairs.
Cons: Add changing tables to the bathrooms. Include umbrella in resort fee. Add a map at check-in where everything within the hotel is located plus stores.
Location: For Spring breakers, the bars/rest are 10 minutes away on foot. Nothing else is within walking distance so Uber or water taxi if you don't rent a car.
I stayed with my husband and young son recently at the B Ocean. It was ok. The staff was friendly both when we checked in and in the beach/pool area. The room was what we signed up for: two double beds. We had a view of the marina and part ocean. Ok, not bad for how late we planned. Some things that were disappointing: Cleaning staff didn't clean the room one day. We had the Do Not Disturb sign while our son napped but then we went out and they never returned or checked in to see if we needed cleaning. Each morning they forgot something minor: hand towel, floor mat, etc. The temperature did drop the week we were there and although we turned off the A/C the room was bitterly cold during the night. Lastly, the bathrooms in the common areas didn't have changing tables. A little disappointing since the hotel did provide cribs. Also, the closest store was a good 15 minute walk. The hotel is close to the Spring break "hot spot" so I wouldn't recommend it for families.

Upon arrival was hidden the worst room avail. So I returned to the front desk to get reassigned. They did (but why would you give the worst room avail to someone if others are free?). Then realized our bags were still out by the valet. I was then told that I had to tell them where my room was. So my bags wouldbhave stayed outside indefinitely. In the room the AC is either on or off. Another trip to front desk. And the refrigerator is just a cooler. Not anfridge. But they don't tell you that either. Just not great service. But a nice location

I liked staying here because it has some history to it and was a bit quirky. Newly remodeled lobby was needed but miss the Mexican restaurant. New restaurant's hostess was overwhelmed by her job so went elsewhere for dinner. Pool bar seating wasn't allowed (?). Still great mahi mahi Caesar salad. Great pool still. Utensils for eating at pool had to be the cheapest they could buy.

Good hotel but watch the extras

Good hotel but watch the extras $30 parking per day for rental car Only 2 chairs included in you stay even though you pay for more people Umbrellas $20 per day. Other than that pool bar has good food. Drinks were expensive for a pool bar $12 for pina colada

Hotel not suited for business

Pros: Bed and pillow were comfortable
Cons: Read above
Location: On the beach, near restaurant and bar strip
No work station for computer, no full length mirror, room steward never refilled creamer two days, no coffee cups one day, sink did not drain well which was gross when brushing teeth, bed was comfortable and room was clean. In addition to pricey room at $279/night, there is a $20 resort fee and $35 parking fee, which is just taking advantage of the traveler.

Be sure to book that category in the future. The resort fee is standard for all reservations and should have been noted on the booking site and confirmation which covers your unlimited Wi-Fi, water, coffee, bikes, beach towels and lounge chairs... FO staff friendly. Porters extremely slow and overall experience very slow ... Rooms are public areas not very clean. Service at restaurant Naked Crab friendly but also very slow.
