Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy

Nightmare of a trip!

Never got a message from the host as to how to check in to the condo and where to park etc. When we got to the condo building I kept calling and txting the host but he wouldn’t pick up. Finally got a message the say was canceled. Then a message saying he no longer owned the condo we had rented months earlier. VRBO customer service found a hotel the first night and was told their team was working on getting us a replacement VRBO location. Had to call the second day since they didn’t call us and had to move to another hotel. No one every called back. We finally found someplace on our own 20 miles from the original location so not ideal. Did I tell you this was the first time to use VRBO? Their “team” never reached out with an alternative or to even confirm we were ok. Worst follow up on what could have been a desaster for some folks. We made the best of it but without some kind of compensation, I wouldn’t go near this company again!
