My family of 5 stayed in room 504 which was wheelchair-friendly, comfortable and clean. We loved our view of the beach every morning. The balcony was amazing to watch sunrises in the morning. The folks that work at PGBR are the nicest, happiest and helpful I have found. They are always smiling and quick to welcome you and ask if they can be of any service. The pool service man, Brian is always smiling and even after preparing a clean and comfortable chair with umbrella for you and your family, continues to stop by if he can be of more help. We had breakfast at the hotel which was delicious. Portions were so big we didn't have room for lunch. We also went to the Sandbar Grill next door which was also delicious with large portion sizes. We went to dinner at Shooters (amazing!), Primanti Bros (best pizza ever!). and lunch at Park & Ocean (best fish tacos!) when we visited the Hugh Taylor Birch State Park (live critter show at 1pm every Fri/Sat). We went to all these places walking. We didn't take a car b/c we just didn't need it. There's a Bcycle station right in front of the hotel for $5/30-min or $35 for the week as a member. My husband and I enjoyed the evenings listening to live music beachside with a nightcap and dessert. The boys loved the lazy river and went around countless times. They met friends their ages as there were many other families. I would recommend this hotel and room for families and couples alike. We had everything we needed. We would stay again.
