"The outside mountain views were amazing. There were deer in the area. The cabin was extremely clean and nice. It was decorated just right and made us feel at home. The kitchen had everything necessary plus extras if needed. The coffee maker was ready as well as a nice grinder. Amenities were numerous and appreciated. The gas fireplace was delightful. The large deck was nice and there was an outdoor fire pit. The property is all to itself with plenty of privacy to enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountain outdoors. There are great hikes nearby, including Seneca Rocks, Chimney Top, and Dolly Sods. Cheetah B's restaurant in Petersburg is great. I would highly recommend this property for a lovely getaway in the mountains. It snowed a bit on the last two days of our stay, which made the views even better. The host was very good and communicated well. I will definitely keep The Rusty Lantern in mind for future West Virginia trips. Excellent"

"My trip started off rough — I was in a car accident on the way to the cabin — but the hosts at Golden Cabin Ridge were so kind and understanding. The cabin was peaceful, beautifully designed, and perfectly tucked away for a relaxing escape. Despite how it began, the weekend turned into exactly what I needed. I’ll definitely be back — this place might just be my go-to getaway!"

"This home was absolutely beautiful! We loved everything about it—except for the drive up the gravel, steep, and narrow road. That said, the view made the nerve-racking drive completely worth it! We hiked in a few nearby areas, but honestly, the view from the house might be the best of all.The home itself had every amenity you could need (and more!), which was so thoughtful considering there aren’t any stores nearby. My husband especially loved the fireplace, and I adored the friendly deer that came so close to the house. We also had a blast in the game garage.Overall, this place was peaceful, well-stocked, and unforgettable. We’d definitely stay here again!"
