Relaxing in Paradise
My wife, dogs and I had an amazing getaway . We spent most of our time relaxing and taking in all the amazing scenery. We made several trips to many national parks that weren’t very far away seeing many waterfalls and other beautiful sceneries. Ate some delicious food and had wonderful conversations with friendly patrons and staff at several local restaurants. Our favorite was Ms. Lois’ Restaurant.

Can't get enough
This was our 3rd time staying here, we love it so much! There are so many things to do in the area...but this property is perfect to just unplug and relax. We brought our dog this time and he enjoyed playing with the property ambassador, Winter, a yellow lab! The property is so peaceful, enjoy coffee and meals on the porch or bridge and just listen to the sounds of the creek!

Amazing place!
Great on the creek location. The rushing waters just relax you. Beautifully done rustic cabin, everything you need from gliders, lounge chairs hovering over the waters edge to coffee makers and fans. The huge tub and cozy bathroom was so peaceful we wanted to blow up a mattress and sleep there. It was perfect for our dog too, who immediately ran to the creek, splashed and then hopped through the open fields. If you want to unplug for awhile, cozy up to a campfire, and unwind. You found it. Thanks, Kyle, Jill and Berklie

A step back in time
The property has a magical element that is amazing. The ease and simplicity of the cabin, the stream and the pond makes it hard to leave. We did take a queen air mattress because one double was not enough for us. Our teenagers slept on the creek side porch. We also took a griddle for breakfast and brought food in. We did NOT use the wood fired oven but was very intrigued by it.

Peaceful weekend retreat
Although this property was not quite as private as we expected (nearby houses on the other side of the creek), we had a very relaxing and beautiful weekend in this gem of a cabin! The creek is so picturesque and literally right off the back porch. My favorite part of the trip was baking a made from scratch apple pie in the wood cook stove. That kitchen was so much fun! We also built a few fires in the wonderful fireplace. Our dog joined us on this trip and she really enjoyed herself as well. We highly recommend this little gem!

Step Back in Time
Our family of four (plus our cockapoo) enjoyed a long weekend at the cabin. It was a blessing to be without internet, television and cell phone service. We played lots of games, fished, hiked and made plenty of campfires. I loved the period decor and furnishings in the cabin: it made it feel like a more authentic "experience." Our weather couldn't have been better with warm days and cool nights. We made use of the hosts' airbed and the kids slept on that, The cabin has no insulation, so I would recommend bringing extra blankets as the small space heater doesn't really cut it for the main level. Heat rises, however, and the loft with the double bed was rather toasty. The bathroom has its own space heater and stayed a comfortable temperature despite being an outdoor-accessed room. The creek right outside the back porch and directly beside the fire pit was a massive plus. Our son fished for hours in it and I enjoyed sitting back there reading while listening to the water. One thing to note is that there are three other cabins no less than forty feet from you on the other side of the creek, so although the property is on 22 acres, you still have close neighbors. The hosts also live on property and their dogs are friendly, water loving labs who visited frequently. Our son enjoyed playing golf, wife ball and football with the hosts' son, which was a big plus. The town of Franklin is definitely worth a stop and we recommend calling ahead to book a fly fishing excursion with the local guides. Their shop was a must-see. Overall, this cabin was just what our family needed for an unplugged weekend of "quasi camping."

a magical cabin in paradise!
wow! what an amazing property! the rustic and authentic cabin was even better than the pictures portrayed it to be. every little detail was perfect! gorgeous bathroom - comfy bed - great fireplace and an amazing kitchen! but the true star of this property is the land that it sits on. the lily pond in front of the cabin - and the babbling creek that runs behind it. with decks to sit and take it all in! I took my almost 15 year old dog (Molly) with me - and she was running and playing and roaming along the creek. she did not want to leave!! and we didn't either! I cannot recommend this property enough. it's a little gem tucked away in the mountains in the cute and friendly town of Franklin. I will definitely be back!!

Really amazing property
I really loved the property and my son caught a fish! Not really fishing season, so that was a nice surprise! The cabin is really old (1800s) - but nice layout and great place on the creek. The only drawback is the fireplace is not working, looks like someone might have done a fire too large in the past, so I understand the owners concern! Overall amazing stay - no cell reception was a plus :)

The creek—the star of the show
We enjoyed a lot of aspects of our vintage cabin stay but we must say that being so close to that amazing Creek was unsurpassed! Make sure you do all of your planning and mapping for your stay out in advance in case your cell service is spotty.
