“It is a very rustic stay, which I really enjoyed, especially the tree that grows through the roof and the elevated bed upstairs. You should watch out for the final cost, because I booked here and am convinced the the price offered to begin changed significantly to my disadvantage after confirming the booking - my mistake, I should have been more observant. There was no shower soap available, the light in the refrigerator was out and the refrigerator itself didn’t really seem to work.……

“The Bear Mountain Lodge is a real treat. Small enough to feel private and exclusive, large enough to feel professional and welcoming. Our breakfasts were beautiful homemade meals with fresh ingredients and served with a smile. The entire lodge is spotlessly clean. The staff is thoughtful, friendly, and helpful. “Amenities were as described and host was most gracious. The in residence dog, Blue, was a friendly addition to our stay of 3 nights. Relaxing soak in hot tub and hummingbirds were a daily treat. Would highly recommend this location as the retreat it promises and we will stay again when back in Silver City area.”

“We spent Christmas at Azaima’s retreat. We had absolutely everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The surroundings are gorgeous, views of the mountains all around and bird watching out the window. The hot tub was a nice bonus. Azaima and her friendly dog greeted us when we arrived.
