It is an older, clean building, somewhat close to the tourist places but probably further out than most. We definitely walked more than we expected. A couple of aggravating incidents They mentioned on the website they had laundry service. I called desk to ask about it, and they brought up some antiquated list of item cleaning and drycleaning. We went to parking P1 to get car and go to laundry mat and noticed a coin washer and dryer down there, so went to desk and ask about it and of course it is there for guests to use. Never would have known if we weren't on P1 level. Oh, and we noticed maybe a gym down there?? There was nothing in rooms to tell us anything about the hotel at all, so again would never have known. An alarm was going off on our 7th floor, in a different room. Tried calling desk for several minutes and no one would answer. Just kept putting us on hold. Someone finally went down there so they would come and stop it. Never tried the restaurant as we had one vegan person and nothing on menu would work even if modified

Room was not clean. Soap scum & dirty water stains from previous guests were on shower walls. White spots from what I can assume is from toothpaste and guests brushing their teeth splattered behind the sink & surrounding area. Glasses in kitchen still had lip marks and finger marks on them from previous guests. Hair from other guests clearly visible in many places. Dried & crusted urine stains on the underside of the toilet seat. This used to be a beautiful hotel, very clean and a great place to stay - however this past weekend left my family feeling a little wary about the cleanliness from the housekeeping staff and how well do they actually do clean after each guest. Connected restaurant was great though! Friendly staff and even more amazing food.

We will probably stay at Le Germain next time. The public rooms are great, especially Zoey’s. The history can’t be beat. The bedrooms badly need to be upgraded and room 363’s air conditioning could not get the room below 25 degrees. The only solution offered was a rotating fan.
