The remodel was pretty creative but unfortunately the pool was closed (in the middle of summer). You can tell this was an older property but the remodel, paint color choices, and the cassette player in the room gave it a funky vintage feel. The decor is very dark, walls painted dark blue and black…but it was pretty cool.

We loved our stay at HCML. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Beds are comfortable and the coffee options in the room were a nice touch. We loved the bar area and can’t wait to come back when the pool is not under construction.

It was super cute. A nice upgrade to an old school motel. Its very trendy and very chic now. However the walls were thin which lead to a not so good sleep. I would go back for a fun night but not sure if id stsy again. I was disappointed because i did know the pool.was closed for renovation but the website did not mention the steam room and sauna would also be closed while there on my visit. Also, there were no phones in the room and the phone number wasn't posted in he room so it made communication to the front desk inconvenient. I would recommend putting a placard in each room with the front desk contact information. Again super modern and cute, just NOT a quiet stay.

The rooms are very dark. (For example black light switches on a dark green wall) The stairwell was very dark, even during the day. When we were there the “amenities” were unavailable due to repairs- yet they still charge a resort fee. We got “special coffee” in a metal campers cup. The dining room was nice but the bar drinks were pretty expensive. I wasn’t impressed.

Staff is wonderful! Grounds are nice. Love the outside seating. Beds are very comfortable. Enjoy the retro feel of the old motor lodge- equally family and partner friendly. Currently the facility is making improvements- the pool should be complete by end of summer 2024.
