I was in Greenwood for a funeral and business. This was only a two day stay and only slept there at night. I asked for a refund at check out but they refused because I didn’t come to them sooner even though I explained in the policy when I booked the room there was no refund. I even took pictures to show them and they wanted to say because I didn’t go to them as soon as there was an issue they weren’t going to refund me then proceeded to only refund me one night. I usually don’t make a fuss about places and have stayed in some hotel rooms that aren’t the greatest. But this hotel room was honestly unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend anyone booking it and staying there but if you do just make sure if there’s any issues to go to them asap and always have a plan B. After much hassle they agreed to waive the pet fee but not the pet cleaning fee. They also did not honor Expedia pricing because I threatened to cancel after they told me about the pet fees., allegedly because they took it out of the system. The back door to the hotel didn’t lock so anyone could access the hall leading to all the rooms. Two lightbulbs were out in the room and the tub was not very clean. There is no breakfast as advertised. They also said they had no control over how Expedia describes their policies such as charging $20 per night per pet and a one time $20 cleaning fee per pet so be warned. Expedia just said they were pet friendly with no mention of these charges. The reservation did not make it to the hotel and I was left on my own to either rebook through the site again or go to the hotel directly for a much higher price. Something needs to be fixed with this as it didn’t sound like it was the first issue the hotel had with Expedia or third party sites.
