“Enjoyed the area and view. House had a good staging for renters too. Excellent spot! Owner needs to know his cleaners could do better job. No dusting done for along time. Upon entering you definitely have the feeling of not a very clean house due to neglect. House was decorated great though and a nice warm feel except for being unkept. We had to clean the grill, lawn chairs and around the house (frigetc) dirty greasy pan left in oven in order to use. We even trimmed an overgrown shrub. They……

“The owner provided a lock box code, so that we could access the front door key. A ring door bell camera system is available to communicate with the owner, but we did not use it. Joe reached out to us several different times by phone and text to make sure that everything was going okay. The Lake Huron beach at the cottage is not a swimming beach, but offered many days of peaceful relaxation. The kitchen had everything we needed for our week long stay. “Nice cabin, great location in Port Austin, easily walkable to the beach, downtown shops, Farmer’s Market. Lots of things provided. Host was helpful and very responsive. Check in was the easiest I think I’ve experienced. Hot water on demand was nice! The cabin itself was a bit small for 5 adults and a baby, but it did work for our weekend. The futon is probably better for kids than an adult. The only area I couldn’t give 5 stars on was cleanliness. It could have been a bit cleaner. ……

“The little yellow Cottage #1 was the perfect location for my long holiday weekend stay in Port Austin. The cottage was charming and i loved the farmer's market and Memorial day celebration close by. It was in Walking distant of the Beach, harbor, restaurants and creative shopping. A short drive to friends at local camp sites. I appreciate the porch and garden patio. Easy front street parking. Easy in and out. Easy to find. I liked the Roku.”

“Perfect!! View of the lake was breathtaking. With a wonderful deck and loads of room, close enough to the water to almost touch the waves, it provides the perfect place to unwind. The interior of the cottage, although old, provided warm and comfortable feeling. Very happy we chose this cottage.”
