After 3 days of torrentil rain the river is actually flooded, not even the tour boats could go out, and the surrounding farms flooded. photo is taken from a small island in the middle of the river but it too was under water and I was knee deep taking the photo. "Very nice hotel with great staff, but English is barely spoken by one person at the front desk. If you don't speak Chinese, you'll have a tough time, but you can get by with a translator. Conveniently located to dining and a couple of tourist attractions. Breakfast buffet included a good variety of western and Chinese choices. It's a comfortable choice, except that the room had no air conditioning. I'm thinking they just don't let it run in February, so the room was always hot, unless a window was opened. They did help with a fan, though."
