"Comfortable apartment with everything you need, including a massage chair! The host family is very friendly and helpful. We also got to meet their sheep in the back of their property! "This is a perfect holiday location....the apartment has everything you need & was spotlessly clean. Gengenbach is probably the prettiest town we saw in the Black Forest & a fantastic base to explore the region. We stayed 11 nights & used the train on the Konus card scheme every day bar 1.....great for taking the stress away & having a German beer or 2! Anja was fantastic in welcoming us & giving lots of tips on where to eat etc....she was always at the end of the phone if we had a question....

"Der Weg zum Haus ist super vom Vermieter beschrieben und sehr abenteuerlich. Das Haus steht in absoluter Alleinlage am Waldrand und direkt vor dem Haus beginnen die Weinfelder. Traumhaft schön. Die kleine Auffahrt direkt zum Haus (ca. 50m) ist sehr steil. Vom Parkplatz vor dem Haus geht es ca. 50 Stufen durch den Garten zum Gebäude. Das Außengelände und der Garten könnten etwas mehr liebe vertragen. Oben gibt es eine wunderschöne überdachte Terrasse mit einem großartigen Blick auf Offenburg....

"Probably wouldn’t recommend. Firstly, there was no microwave. This was not a major issue but just an inconvenience because we were able to heat up food via the oven. My wife was very displeased with the fact that we adopted a used sponge for the dishes. The stovetop was very uncooperative and took forever to heat up and never heated to a boil for water. There were issues with insects that mainly just bothered my children. We also noticed the light fixture above our bed needed to be cleaned as...

We regularly walked the short distance to the many restaurants and cafes and the younger members of our group enjoyed the nearby tennis courts and open air swimming pool. "A quiet, fairly residential location meant we weren't quite sure what to expect from this hotel. We were delighted. The room was the usual size but well appointed with a great powerful shower and unusually a heat lamp to help you stay cosy while getting dried! We ate in the restaurant and the food was enjoyable. Breakfast had a good selection of items too. We used the garage to park our cycles and the racks were easy to access and seemed secure. The town centre wasn't too far away and there was nice parkland nearby for walks."
