Beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bath unit with excellent views of ocean and sound. Enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets, long sandy beaches, close to town yet quiet and out of the way. Excellent for hanging out and relaxing at the pool or beach.

This is by far one of the nicest and closest properties to World Famous Gulfstrean fishing in Hatteras NC, 4 full service marinas with offshore and inshore charter fishing just moments away. Or take a free ferry ride to historic Ocracoke Village on Ocracoke Island, Just a few miles up the road is the house where Nights in Rodanthe was filmed.

Elevator service to all levels makes Durant Station a most convenient choice for all ages: no need to haul luggage and groceries up long flights of stairs! Guests are just a few short steps to the ocean via a private wooden walkway. The Hatteras area offers some of the best fishing and sun bathing on the East Coast. At Durant Station you'll enjoy a host of amenities including one of Hatteras Island's largest private pools with an adjacent hot tub. The Durant Station Community Center is crowned by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Island's past. You'll find the Community Center ideal for relaxing with friends, conducting meetings, wedding parties and receptions, or simply enjoying the lounge areas, which offer a large-screen TV, and a complete kitchen on the upper level. The Durant Station Complex consists of three floors, which start about 12 feet above ground. The parking lot and walks are paved with concrete.

The unit is tastefully furnished and fully equipped with linens to make your stay comfortable as well as memorable. Durant Station unit has central A/C, cable TV with HBO, Wireless High-speed Internet for your laptop, solid surface counters in the kitchen, and sprinkler safety systems for your peace of mind. Centrally located on the first floor is a coin operated laundry facility (which even offers an ocean view). . A large separate fish cleaning station, BBQ grill and outdoor shower complete the picture. The Durant Station is located in Hatteras Village, oceanfront on Highway 12. Enjoy being beachfront and near local restaurants and shops.

A Stay to Remember

We spent a few days in March and had an amazing stay. The endless views of dolphins and pelicans from the balcony were incredible. We walked out onto the beach that connected directly with the beaches of Hatteras National Seashore and walked for miles. The condo itself was spotless and inviting. It was very peaceful and quiet. We can’t wait to book another trip here.

Great condo, spacious, clean, amazing view with a balcony, and a short walk to the beach. Lots of restaurants within a few miles. Owner was great to deal with and responded quickly to questions. 100% recommend.

Beautiful Oceanfront Condo

This was our second year in a row staying here. We love it. Mike did some upgrades since last summer so we love it even more. We ate every meal on the balcony enjoying the ocean view and the sound of the waves.

Beautiful location

The condo was clean and we enjoyed the beautiful view and sound of the ocean. Nice outdoor furniture to enjoy the scenery. Took advantage of the location to explore the south end of the island before the “season” began. Lots of fun outdoor activity! Mike, The owner, was quick to respond with any questions we had. A moment in paradise

What a wonderful week. This vrbo was wonderful from check in to check out. Our host was very attainable but we never had any issues to contact him with. The unit was clean and tastefully supplied with everything you might need. The views and location of this rental was nothing short of an east coast paradise.

Best Place at Hatteras

Went down December 10-17,2011. I have been going to the Outer Banks for 30 years. This was the best place I have ever stayed . The ocean is so close . Beautiful view . Kitchen had everything I needed. I felt so at home! So nice to have a great bed to sleep in . So comfortable!! Elevator was great. Radio/CD player in kitchen and I love to listen to music while I cook. This was great . Just loved the way it had been decorated. Just made you feel right at home. Thank you so much

We loved it and will be back

We loved the location. We had a great view of the Ocean. The property owner was terrific and very responsive. We will be back for sure. The only downside was that the floors were dirty, and some places could have been more dusted. The first night my feet were black from the floors. Everything else was immaculate. I just washed the floors and got on with the fun and frivolity. In no way, shape, or form a deal breaker. Thanks for letting us enjoy ourselves.

Great view few negatives

Master bed was super old. So bad we left a day early due to back pain. The "community laundry" is on-site however bring a bunch of quarters. 3.50 per small load. Also no quarter machine. Had we known ahead of time we'd had brought with us. Nothing really being close getting quarters seemed impossible. Bring a good cooler as the refrigerator doesn't cool very well. The view/beach was perfect. Condo was also very clean. Running ahead of schedule we were able to check in early which was nice. Property owner was very responsive. Very easy to access. Good restaurants within 1.5 miles

Perfect Vacation

We have been coming to Hatteras Village for 30 years. For the past 16 we have been staying at Durant Station. We love the location. This year we booked a last minute vacation in this 2 br/2ba top floor condo. It was perfect!! The photos do not do it justice. We loved everything about it. The decor was gorgeous, kitchen full equipped, comfortabel furniture. So clean. and the communication with the owner was seemless. We plan to add this condo to one of our favorites and will stay here again.

This was our second stay at this oceanfront condo. The ocean view was awesome. We even had 4 deer that would visit. The host is always available. We will be back for a 3rd time.

The Perfect Spot!

Beautiful stay with direct access to the beach. Located far enough from the hustle and bustle, but not too far from the hot spots and attractions. Our whole family enjoyed themselves. We'll be coming back and staying again!!!
