The property has a fantastic aesthetic, but they clearly cut some corners in the remodeling, so the bathroom and kitchen areas especially feel more like a really low end Microtel than historic inn. The front desk folks were very friendly and helpful. Overall, though, I felt overcharged for the stay. And that’s not even to mention the amount of dust in the room, the lack of thermostat because they are on a boiler system, and the fact that Turning on the hot tub jets in the Jacuzzi tub resulted in a tub full of water that looked like it had pine mulch floating in it. Again, the aesthetic of the property is cool, but it’s somewhat sabotaged by all the janky hotel industry shenanigans going on at this property. Finally, single ply toilet paper is completely unacceptable at a property at this price point. Again, that’s some Microtel nonsense.
