"All staff were exceptional ! Our room view of the Sydney Harbour including the opera house and bridge were fantastic. The recommendation at check-in to upgrade to the executive club stay was well worth it . "
"We had a fantastic stay. The hotel was beautiful. The staff welcoming and attentive. The rooms were as promised, luxurious, comfortable, clean and spacious. "
"Great location, just a short walk north of the central train station and steps from the light rail (trams) that will take you to Circular Key. Still walkable to Circular Key and buses to anywhere you might want to go. Lots of good restaurants and shopping nearby. Hotel is quiet and clean, rooms are small but have everything you need (including a coffee machine and separate kettle with a range of teas provided and refreshed during our two night stay). Bed was comfortable. I would happily stay here again."
Sydney Central Hotel managed by The Ascott Limited
10/10 Excellent
"Sydney Central Hotel turned out to be a surprisingly lovely stay. I have to admit, after reading some reviews I was a little nervous, but we were fortunate enough to receive an upgrade to a larger room, which was a great start. The room was clean, and parts—especially the bathroom—looked recently renovated.
It would’ve been nice to have wine glasses in the room, and as it was our anniversary (which the hotel was aware of), a small acknowledgment would have been appreciated, though it seems that may have slipped their mind.
The main downside was that our room was located right outside the pool area, which did get noisy at times. We had a balcony, but we couldn’t really use it as people at the pool could look straight in. Aside from that, everything else was generally positive.
We did use the pool once, it’s lovely and warm but it can get crowded due to its small size.
Overall, a pleasant stay with just a few minor drawbacks. We will definitely return again."
