8.2/10 Very Good! (713 reviews)
The front desk staff member was very rude. Walking in 8-8:30pm, it seemed he had just checked in a group. A line had formed. Understandable. There were 3 check-ins ahead of me, plus someone who needed a replacement keycard. He spent a long time checking in the first in line. He continued to check in number 2 in line, without addressing the person waiting for a working room key. Number 2 in line had a young child with them. Number 3 in line seemed to be a husband and wife. The desk staff member stopped several times to engage in a conversation about football with the husband. The conversation was quite lengthy. During this time, Number 2 in line had to come back because their room key didn't work. I went to the counter and spoke with the wife, saying that she knew what it was like to have waited in the line. I then went to the other side of the counter where the husband was resting with both arms on the counter. I did the same. Front desk person said, "Oh, she means business." I said we have been waiting. My husband said they didn't need to talk about football. Front desk said I guess we can't have conversations anymore. He also said oh no, you had to wait in line. We said we were leaving. He said good. We asked for his name; he wouldn't give it. I called Expedia, who in turn called the hotel. When Expedia called me back, he agreed that the front desk was very rude. The hotel refused a refund (it was booked as nonrefundable). We drove 6 hours to get home that night.
