Nice helpful staff. Although an old style motel its outside porches and gardens were well taken cared if and inviting. Room was clean and comfortable but “tired” and could use a refresh, especially the old rug and upholstered ledge.

Nice place. Older but well maintained and clean. Free breakfast is a bit light but ok. Nice staff. Bath towels could be upgraded a bit. Message to the motel, don’t get too pricey. It’s a nice place but not a five star hotel.

Nice, friendly, quiet, efficient staff from check in to check out. Clean, neat rooms. Basic breakfast- coffee, tea, milk, yogurt, breakfast breads for toasting and schmearing, and a waffle maker. No complaints! It’s budget friendly too, as it’s minimal in frills. If folks are looking to stay somewhere for a super simple, safe place, with a 1990’s-80’s motel vibe, this is it! Save time and money by staying here as it’s very central to a LOT of roads sneaking off to nearby cities, towns, attractions, and sundries like basic out of town needs. In either direction you’ll find gas stations and grocery stores, beverage centers, restaurants and coffee(both local and mega corpo). The only small critique is the ventilation in the rooms; no air circulation save for the door or the air vent in the bathroom, which leads to the space feeling a little stuffy if you’ve got super sensitive sinuses or sense of smell. Would recommend and will stay again if in town!

On Friday night the outside of my room reeked of urine. And the motel needs to seriously update their air condition units, the air conditioners buzz and clatter and you can hear the adjacent room's air conditioner buzzing and clattering clearly through the wall, otherwise it's an excellent motel. I guess they need a hose close by for the occasional urine stench; (it's a motel on a busy stretch of road so of course vagrants are going to pee on the property, it's just a given.)

Recently renovated. Nice view of the mountain from the back rooms. Budget friendly. Offer cereal, make your own waffles, bagels and other breakfast items in the morning. Will definitely stay again if traveling that way

Mahoning Inn is conveniently located near the resort areas of Jim Thorpe and other Pocono outdoor activities. Given its lower cost of overnight accommodation and less congestion around the property, I would recommend it for a short stay. The Inn was well maintained and clean both inside and out. We felt very safe and our needs were met with their amenities. The only downside was that the price Expedia quoted me was not the price I was charged at the front desk.

Property was very clean apon arrival for a motel. Staff was nice and helpful. Got the room next to the lobby. Room was clean, everything was fine except the door was sticking and hard to open every time. The wife is a smoker and every time she went outside she struggled with the door. Other than that, I definitely recommend. One of the staff members recommended a winery in the area that we went to and it was great.

Just a quick night stay on my way through. Very large CLEAN room. Clean bathroom, good towels, coffee pot, fridge. A/C worked great. I left before breakfast, so I can't comment on that. But overall, the place was clean and well maintained, and for a small non chain hotel, that's what mattered the most.

The only issue I had was that the bathroom was so tiny. Anyone with mobility issues may have a problem with it as it is so tight. Luckily my husband was not with me on this trip, as he would have had serious issue using the toilet and shower.
