Unfortunately the first room I was given had clearly not been cleaned and had cobwebs and numerous spiders which had clearly not been disturbed by any cleaning. “The hotel is located at the high street and a supermarket is just at the opposite. It is very convenience. The hotel interior is quite old and has traffic noise at night.”

“Great location for the celebration we were attending. Lovely host really friendly. A fab stay”

“Clean and comfortable historic inn with fabulous staff and tasty food. I will definitely stay again when I’m in the area. Thank you!”

“Such a friendly owner. Comfortable bed and top rated room with loads of interesting quirky things to look at. Breakfast was to order the night before at a time of your choice. Brought to your room and was of a good quality. Would stay there again. We were in the Birch room.”

“Very friendly owners, liked the history of the house.”

“Nice hotel”

The bed was very comfortable, plenty of storage space, fluffy towels, plenty of hot water and excellent tea and coffee, biscuits and water. The owners were very friendly and made me feel most welcome. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was delicious. You would never go hungry. The air conditioning was a real bonus, although unfortunately it did drip a little water on the floor. My only other niggles……

“It's a very friendly hotel. The room was clean & cozy. The restaurant also very good and I didn't need to find a place to eat. Excellent for a night or two and explore the nearby area.”
