Lee nuestros comentarios! Cuando vendimos nuestra casa familiar por la calle, movimos nuestro karma y amor por la 'aina (tierra) aquí. Esperemos que tenga la misma sensación que tenemos: paz, serenidad y el conocimiento de que Pelé y Kanaloa vigilan la Isla Grande y la parte especial que nos importa. Compramos esta propiedad hace doce años y la remodelamos por completo. Cuenta con acabados de última generación en todo momento y está destinado a proporcionar un respiro tranquilo a Lisha y a mí después de que completemos nuestro trabajo con el Servicio Exterior. Es un lugar para que las familias se reúnan y celebren lo que es importante. Cuando entras por la puerta frontal diseñada a medida, comenzarás a ver las fabulosas características de diseño y el arte de inmediato. Los espacios grandes y la luz infinita llenan el área principal, que incluye la sala de estar, la cocina, el comedor y los balcones. Hay dos dormitorios, uno con una reina y otro con dos gemelos, en el mismo nivel. Baje las escaleras y entre en el reino de la suite familiar de 60 x 20 metros de ancho. Cuenta con una cama queen, una cama king size y un hermoso baño con una bañera independiente. El baño está en una habitación separada y está mi favorita, una ducha doble que también es una sala de vapor. Hay un segundo lanai completamente cubierto en este nivel también. No puedo vivir sin él, así que justo afuera de la puerta lateral del dormitorio hay una segunda ducha mirando al océano. En ocupación de la consideración de nuestros vecinos y debido a cuestiones de responsabilidad, ocupación y uso de la casa es ESTRICTAMENTE LIMITADA A LA CANTIDAD DE PERSONAS Hemos acordado EN LA RESERVA. Otras personas no están permitidos en la propiedad y no puede haber partidos fuertes en cualquier momento. Nuestros vecinos siguen de cerca el barrio y registrar y comunicar los eventos disruptivos tan pronto a medida que ocurren. Si recibimos una queja en relación con el tráfico excesivo, ruido o PARTES DE CUALQUIER TIPO usted perderá su depósito de seguridad. The location is perfect and the home is both beautiful, comfortable and completely relaxing. The kitchen is first class. Best of all for us is the continuous ocean breeze that keeps the house forever comfortable. If it is warm when you arrive, just open the many windows and sliding glass doors (all screened). You will enjoy not only the tropical breeze but the ethereal surf sounds from the ocean below.The owners, who lived in the home themselves and intend to return for their retirement, live remotely but treat guests with personal attention (this is not run by some commercial vacation resort business). The home is decorated with museum-quality art. It is located on a seemingly ordinary residential street but the home is special.Apparently some have asked about air conditioning but we never thought this would be desirable. We have been there twice, most recently for two weeks in August 2025, supposedly the hottest month. The sea breeze is constant and we never even used the ceiling fans that are in most rooms. The sound of the ocean was such a treat, and the cool breeze flowing through was lovely. We also really enjoyed the charming travel artifacts and the great selection of books across many genres. It had all of the comforts that our family of 6 needed, including a fully equipped chefs' kitchen, comfortable beds and a view that is unmatched. Each night we opened the windows wide to be lulled to sleep by the crashing ocean waves. ##### Carrie G. Very relaxing location right by the ocean, you can hear the waves crashing on the rocks below. Beautiful view of the sunrise from the upstairs or downstairs porches.This house is on the edge of a sea cliff so does not have direct access to the waterfront or a beach. Nonetheless it is an excellent base for exploring The Big Island. Quick drive of 5 minutes into the heart of Hilo. Approximately hour and a half to Kona/West coast depending on where you are going. Owner very responsive and helpful. All beds comfortable. Everything works perfectly. Kitchen well-stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc. We were pleasantly surprised to discover snorkeling equipment available for use, along with beach shoes for exploring the rocky tidepools. Table on upstairs porch big enough for 8-10 people to dine. We would definitely stay here again and give this location our highest recommendation. ##### BW T. The check in process was the easiest I have experienced among several stays at other locations. The email with the check in information was sent a couple of days before, the lock box and associated lock worked well, and when I did have a question, I had no problem contacting the property manager. I think that perhaps the home owners have been away from the property for an extended period of time. There were some maintenance and cleaning issues that need to be addressed: repainting of badly scuffed house walls, and peeling balcony railings, several burned out lightbulbs, no beach chairs available (but all kinds of other wonderful beach gear), dirty lanai and some cracked and well worn lanai furniture. The owner was very responsive to my inquiries both before and during the stay. It is my belief that once he is made aware of needed updates, the improvements will occur. Despite some maintenance/cleaning updates needing to occur, these did not affect our enjoyment of our stay and I definitely recommend this home. ##### Margaret C.
