I’ve stayed at this resort three times now. The best things are the location, shuttle access to the beach, nice swimming area for kids, and really spacious living areas in the condos. There are events such as the pool party or kids crafts that are fun and either free or inexpensive. They have grilling areas and you can use the fully stocked kitchen plus borrow additional grill tools from the clubhouse.
The worst part of this resort is checking in on time or early and dealing with being on the top floor. The last two times I stayed check-in was after 4pm, even after calling to ask for early or at least at check-in time. This time, I mentioned the 2 hour delay to the manager and she allowed us additional time to check-out. I appreciated their flexibility. The first two times I stayed at Island Links, we were on the bottom floor and it was slightly aggravating hearing the people above us stomping around, but we never complained or confronted anyone. This time my party was on the top floor, with five children, and the people below us beat on their ceiling and sent a lady to complain. The kids were making some noise, but it wasn’t to any level that should have had someone knocking at the front door to complain. No elevators, so loading and unloading for the week is extra work. The last annoyance was parking, when other patrons would take more than a single space and then it left nowhere to park.
Overall, it’s still a good place to stay and I will still consider it again.
