Hot tub was in a great spot where you could look out over the lake while we stayed warm in the 40degree weather :) The driveway is quite steep and short so keep that in mind as you approach it for the first time."

"What a peaceful place to visit. Wonderful views of the river, which was mere steps from the house. Had everything we needed for a quiet getaway Thanksgiving. My husband, son and dog enjoyed exploring the river and nearby train tracks. An afternoon at VT was a short drive away. Will be back with our kayaks for warm summer fun. Thanks Frank!"

"This was the perfect property for our recent trip to Virginia Tech for our daughter’s graduation. It is easily accessible from 460, making it a great choice for Tech activities. Everything was as advertised with an added surprise gift of freshly baked coffee cake and a lovely hand-illustrated welcome note! Paul and Colleen provided excellent directions and were prompt with communication. Unfortunately, we found this gem on our last visit to Blacksburg. If we ever find ourselves coming back I...

"The home is on a finger of Claytor Lake, which was quiet and out of the wind. It is eclectic with kitchen on bottom level and living room area on the second level. You can access both levels independently from the driveway. Overall, comfortable for our needs given the weather wasn't great but we were in town for graduation."

"The house is lovely with direct views of the water. The owners have obviously put in alot of time making it comfortable. We cooked and the kitchen had pots/pans enought to make meals. It is small, just the right size for a couple, but the bed was comfortable, and everything was clean and well-decorated. As others have said, there isn't a walkway up to the house, but as long as you don't have any mobility issues, it is really fine. We had our VT son with us for a weekend; it was a night away for...
