A lovely rural hotel set in beautiful scenery with gorgeous views and a high standard of cleanliness.
The staff are fantastic, especially Lee who was attentive to your breakfast needs and was always so warm and friendly.
He also gave us lots of recommendations of what to do and where to go. We can’t rate him highly enough. He was also a hit with my daughter who enjoyed the chats.
Lots of parking available, great food, hearty breakfasts with locally sourced produce, first class staff, large, comfortable and homely rooms. What more could you ask for?
We most definitely recommend after a fab weekend in West Cumbria!
We had a great stay in the Bridge. In particular the staff and the restaurant was excellent.
Loads of parking in a very pretty place.
Typical Lakes rooms that great in a proper old coaching inn.
We would stay again.
Lovely stay, excellent staff , pleasant and helpful. Food excellent good sized portions at breakfast and dinner. So good to go into a traditional bar with a variety of cask ales. Highly recommend
One member of staff in particular, Darren, was very friendly & extremely helpful. He made our stay much more enjoyable.

Easy check-in, good varied menu, excellent food. Bedrooms desperately need some TLC. Towels & bed linen nice & clean.
Booked a deluxe room (room 19) to find a big hole in the ceiling from a previous leak. Mentioned to landlord who loosely offered us another room but didn't follow through then joked with another guest that it was added character.
Lee, the morning host is a lovely chap, quite knowledgeable about the mountains.
The pub side of the Bridge Inn is great, bedrooms need updating.
Fitted my requirements in a nice peaceful location

Downstairs in the pub and restaurant i cannot fault it, the place is well maintained and clean. The bar is well stocked however it was very busy with only one staff working. Food was excellent and a great variety of choice. Breakfast was limited but the full English was brilliant. Upstairs really needs a refurbishment, the rooms are dated and tired, having said that it was clean and water/ coffee refreshed each morning.
Loud noise and vibration from something. No one in reception as stated but dailing 0 in information pack did not work and emergency number went unanswered after trying for a few minutes and all I got was a sorry.
Very good breakfast and a wide selection of food available all day. Spotlessly clean room and pleasant indoor and outdoor seating areas. Mattress was too soft but that's more of a personal preference.
The Bridge Inn has the potential to be really nice but its the small things that let it down, the curtains not secured properly, the peeling paint and mould in the bathroom, the food was ok but not great like an inn 5 minutes down the road. Everything was just ok, not great!
A nice clean room, easy check in/out. Good Sunday roast & lovely choice/quality at breakfast time. Really helpful staff member (Lee I think) who gave us some useful recommendations for the next part of our holiday in Keswick.
The Bridge Inn at Holmrook. Our room was really comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean and well maintained. The whole of the Bridge Inn is dog friendly and welcoming to our pair of 4paws. The breakfast was brilliant. There's a really good selection to choose from and everything was cooked to perfection.
We ate at the Bridge Inn every night because the food was excellent. The last time we ate food that good was when we ate at James Martin's restaurant. The menu had just the right amount of dishes to choose from and the helpings were spot on. We never met the chef but s/he gets 10/10. Last, but certainly not least the staff, everyone was welcoming and friendly. There is however one member of staff we would like to mention in particular. Unfortunately we didn't catch her name but she was wonderful. She was there first thing in the morning and last thing at night and always had a wonderful smile on her face and an eagerness to help wether on reception, behind the bar or serving meals. We would recommend a stay at the Bridge Inn to everyone. Well done to every member of staff there and thank you for making our stay so memorable. Thank you all.
The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. We ordered dinner and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Both were really good and served quickly. Dog friendly which was a huge bonus for us. The room was slightly small and the flooring was sloped but amenities within the room were good. The only slight issue was the bed being slightly slanted, possibly due to the sloped flooring, so I had a feeling of rolling out of the bed throughout the night which woke me up a few times.
The room was very spacious and very clean. The staff were very friendly

Disliked: Cleanliness
Bathroom cleanliness was not up to standard. The shower curtain was mouldy and the shower could of done with being re-sealed..
Staff weren’t very welcoming and the bar manager was quite rude/arrogant and came across aggressive!
Apparently he has worked there for 20+ years, not sure how as he couldn’t pour a pint at all! I was absolutely flabbergasted watching him pour a pint of Birra Moretti. It took that long, I felt like I’d ordered a Guinness and was waiting for it to settle!
The whole vibe was just negative from arriving.
Wouldn’t stay here again.
We had a lovely stay here for two night, room was lovely and warm.
Very dog friendly, breakfast was lush, over all lovely little pub and b&b..
We will definitely stay here again.
Many thank to all staff.
If you are looking to stay here, just do it. You won't regret it.. it just lovely.
