Idyllcottage is in the Historic District on the north end of town between the village and Humber park. Just steps to restaurants and Strawberry Creek. Relax and watch movies from our amazing 9ft Restoration Hardware couch or nap in the nook (although you might not have a chance if you are bringing kids, they will "call it" months out). Packed with charm and history, Idyllcottage will exceed your expectations.
Located at the top of North Circle Drive you will be living on the edge of the village of Idyllwild, which is a perfect place to be vs. smack dab in the middle. Walk across the street to Cafe Aroma Bistro or a few more steps to Idyology and other great restaurants. Idyllcottge sits on 1/4 acre parcel Strawberry Creek is a short 250 feet from the back of our property.

Idyllwild has a small-town atmosphere with shops, restaurants and many places to explore. Downtown Idyllwild offers excellent dining of all stripes and an assortment of fine shops, boutiques, and galleries—not to mention a thriving arts community full of music festivals, art shows, and movie theatre. You’ll find that Idyllwild has something for everyone.

Idyllcottage has a keyless entry system to make things easy for everyone, so check-in is flexible if you decide to make the most of your trip in and head up after work. Your access code will send three days before arrival. It will be active the day of your arrival through departure.

Idyllcottage was built in 1924 originally as a barn but has since been converted into a charming, rustic cabin. Packed with loads of character and unique touches, Idyllcottage is perfect for a romantic getaway for two or a fun adventure for a small family.

Idyllcottage is within walking distance to town, only 1/2 mile to the heart of town and even closer to the north side of town where there are many shops and restaurants. just be sure to save some energy for the journey back as its coming home is uphill. Live it up in town without worrying about having to drive home later, as there is no Uber or Lyft in our mountains.

Weekends require a 2 night minimum, holiday and event weekends are 3-4 night minimum. Though our typical nightly minimum is two nights, three or four-night minimums do exist on specific dates regardless of holidays. Every booking will go under review before being accepted and we will reach out to you if your desired dates have a longer nightly minimum. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility in advance!

Please note the cabin has no “cable tv” (we cut that cord…) however the Roku TV has apps for streaming Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and more. Our Netflix will be logged in for you

We've collaborated with our cleaning crew to follow best practices for our industry. To keep our guests and staff safe, bleaching linens, towels, and triple-sheeting bed comforters.
We have also sourced Health Technology Triple Two disinfectant cleaner that has been pre-approved by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for use against COVID-19 for disinfecting and cleaning all surfaces, especially commonly handled items such as tables, hard-backed chairs, doorknobs, light switches, remotes, handles, desks, toilets, and sinks.
We also have antibacterial hand and dish soap for your use. Finally, the spa is maintenanced between every set of guests.

We require our own Rental Agreement and Pre-Arrival form to be filled out before arrival. Riverside County also requires that we collect a copy of your Driver's License or other government ID, the pre-arrival form will have a place for you to upload a photo of your ID. We will send you these items upon accepting your booking.

Riverside County requires us to have a noise decibel monitor that will alert us if high noise levels are sustained for a long period of time. The monitor does not record any noise, it only measures decibels so your privacy is maintained.

I stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed it. We had all we needed with the kitchen stuff to cook a meal or two. Across the street was Cafe Aroma, where I had my last meal listening to a crooner. We walked down to the creek and it was lovely. Beds are comfy and air conditioning was just right. Only suggestion is to post your house number on street, as the sign by driveway listed innacurate number. I walked in to look around and saw the sign on cabin to let me know I was in the right place.

Cute, clean,well equipped, overall excellent. Just a couple of things: sofa cushions desperately need to be restuffed! And a throw blanket for sofa and coffee set up with coffee and creamers would be great additions. the hot tub was lovely , but it took a loooong time to heat up from 85, the temp it is set to on standby, so turn it up as soon as you arrive if you want an early’ish evening hot tub!

My wife and got away for a few days at idyllcottage and it was perfect from the moment we arrived. Everything about the place was as advertised, communication with kelly was fantastic! We stayed here with our pups for a long weekend. It’s an older, quirky cabin. But it is maintained snd kept clean. The owners are very communicative. Cabin has everything you need including coffee grinder and Wilderness passes. Walking distance to downtown. Nice restaurant across the street. And quiet even though you’re right on a main street.

#### An Adorable Cozy Stay
The cabin is exactly what we were looking for. It’s a vintage cabin with enough modern amenities, like a well stocked kitchen, fluffy towels, and great A/C that you get the cabin experience without the downsides. It’s close enough to town to drive in within minutes but doesn’t feel like you are crowded. It is a clearly loved cabin and one I appreciate that we had the opportunity to experience.

#### Charming historic cabin, thoughtfully appointed, in best part of town
The rustic wood interior is gorgeous. Great kitchen and bath. The hot tub is clean and the temperature was ready upon arrival, and worked perfectly. Kelly and Erin were nicely responsive. We’ve wanted to rent this cabin for a while; it finally worked out and was worth the wait. We’ll definitely try to rent Idyllcottage again!

This cabin is the very best … cozy and perfect for a couple and a dog.. it has all the amenities you need and it’s clean…the house is a great location. The owners were amazing and followed through with everything ..

#### Cute cottage close to town
Idyllcottage was the perfect cozy cabin that my family and I were looking for this winter! Besides warming up next to the charming gas fireplace, the space provided rustic charm and all the amenities (and more) that we needed! The kitchen was very well-stocked, beds were comfortable, and the natural lighting was fantastic. We also enjoyed playing in the freshly-fallen snow outside just as much as we enjoyed spending time in the cabin putting jigsaw puzzles and watching tv together. We can't wait to stay there again!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy home- check in was a breeze and communication with owners excellent! The beds were very comfortable and the home was so CLEAN. A lot of care and love has been put into this home - and it is felt! We hope to be back

#### Wonderful location for our annual getaway
We choose to stay here during our 3rd annual trip to Idyllwild. This location is across the street from a lovely restaurant and only a 15 minute walk to the center of town. Kelly & Erin (Kelly's daughter) were extremely communicative, sending us a text a few days before our visit and also the morning we checked out. Our pup came with us and loved being able to hangout with us on the deck while we enjoyed the hot tub. The fireplace is connected to the thermostat, so it automatically turns on according to the settings. Very fun feature. Overall, we had a wonderful visit and look forward to checking out this cabin again in the future.

#### A relaxing getaway
This is a great place. I went with my husband, son and our dog. It was the first time we've traveled with our son (15 months) and dog so we were a little worried how they would do in an unfamiliar place. But to say they loved it would be an understatement! The cabin has everything you need and traveling as a new parent, we forgot a few things. Fortunately the cabin was stocked with the essentials (Ziploc bags, measuring cups, dog bowls) and also everyday items you may find you need unexpectedly (a screwdriver for a new toy we had to put together). Also, as we were packing up to leave I noticed that they had a Pack N Play/playpen in the closet. Seriously, they have EVERYTHING. I'm usually a little uncomfortable in vacation rentals but this place was so clean and comfy. We loved it. And the hot tub was the cherry on top. Highly recommended.

#### Perfect in every way
The cabin is very old and fairly small but full of charm and very clean. Despite its small size it was comfortable for our family of 4 (including our 2 teenage sons and dog). Having the loft space worked well for us (I wouldn’t recommend it if you have young children simply because of the height.) The location is great - close enough to walk into town early morning to get coffee, yet far enough away to escape other tourists! The enclosed patio and spa was a perfect way to spend the evenings and also safe enough for our large dog. The owners are absolutely charming to deal with and very organised and helpful. We will definitely return.

#### In the heart of town. Bustling days, and calm quiet nights. Perfect!
Kelly and Erin were amazing hosts and the cabin is amazing. So charming and comfortable. Perfectly located within walking distance to everything from shops to restaurants. Beautiful Strawberry Creek just steps from the back door. Love!
