“We were traveling to the area for a 4th of July contra dancing weekend at The Dancing Fish of Lake Santa Fe and wanted to take our dogs with us. Shawn, the owner, contacted me immediately upon making the reservation and provided lots of very helpful information about the house and the area. We walked trails in etoniah forest and walked around the lake nearest the house. The dogs were happy, we were happy and the dance weekend was fantastic. Our nieces, who live in Dunnellon, stayed overnight……

“So much to do without ever leaving the house. We brought a popup tent and set it up down near the water and just hung out in the shade all week. We fished and swam. We brought a couple of kayaks and used the paddle boards that were on site. It's about a mile round trip if you paddle directly across the lake and about 1.5 miles if you paddle around the perimeter. We did both and so long as the wind isn't blowing terribly against you, it's not a bad paddle. Very quiet lake, I think we had……
