Walked in to the hotel and immediately noticed no air conditioning in the lobby, not a huge deal. Staff was very friendly, we had reserved a room with 2 queen beds, staff pointed out we were given a larger room due to it being handicap accessible, once again, very nice of them. When we walked into our room there an unpleasant odor and the carpet felt wet, I’m guessing the humidity in the building caused this, after a few minutes in the room you got used to it, but it was still noticeable every time you walked in and out of the room, The pool was great, 9/10cleanliness, the only bad part was that the water was super cold. The hot tub, which also looked amazing, was out of order. The shower floor in the handicap room needs some cleaning, everything else was very clean. The TV was dish T.v, some of the channels we were watching were freezing and lagging. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast, waffles, cereal, juice etc. No complaints. Over all a pretty good experience for the price.

#adventure Built in 1883 by Harvey P. Jones and George K. Foster, Roseman is 107 feet in length and sits in its original location. It was renovated in 1992 at a cost of $152,515. In Robert James Waller’s novel, The Bridges of Madison County, and the movie of the same name, Roseman is the bridge Robert Kincaid seeks when he stops at Francesca Johnson’s home for directions. It is also where Francesca leaves her note inviting him to dinner. Also known as the “haunted” bridge, Roseman is where two sheriff’s posses trapped a county jail escapee in 1892. It is said the man rose up straight through the roof of the bridge, uttering a wild cry, and disappeared. He was never found, and it was decided that anyone capable of such a feat must be innocent.
