Hotel Laurin

"What started as a potentially difficult booking experience, primarily because of Expedia, turned into one of the most memorable hotel stays and trips we have ever had. Hotel Laurin is perfectly situated in the heart of Santa Margherita Ligure, with absolutely spectacular views and easy access to everything that makes this part of the Italian Riviera so special. The location truly could not be better. What really made our stay exceptional, though, was the staff. Everyone we encountered was professional, helpful, warm, and genuinely kind. There is a level of hospitality here that you simply cannot manufacture. By the end of our stay, we felt completely at home. We especially loved having drinks at the bar with Fredo, who made one of the best Sidecars I have ever had, and I have traveled quite a bit! The service by the pool was equally fabulous. Sitting there overlooking the water, being so well taken care of, was one of those experiences you simply do not want to end. The rooms themselves are not particularly large or overly luxurious, but honestly, that did not matter to us. The small balconies overlooking one of the most beautiful views on the Riviera are worth the stay alone. Waking up to that view every morning was incredible. The hotel is also within easy walking distance of the restaurants, shops, waterfront, and everything else we came to love about Santa Margherita. We visited Portofino and the surrounding areas, but we kept saying the same thing, we love Laurin!"

"This was an absolute gorgeous place. The staff weee so attentive and friendly. The food was great with a big selection. The rooms were so nice and maid service was great. Loved the turndown service in the evening with chocolate. I just can’t say enough about this property and staff Very highly recommend"

"A beautiful and grand hotel that blew us away! The service was was top shelf and the room was massive! We couldn’t fault it at all! The room had a small Juliette balcony that overlooked the historic centrale station and there were hot tubs on the 8th floor that offered amazing views if the city and port, Breakfast was also another highlight! Easily the best Italian hotel we have ever stayed at!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, excellent service, large comfortable rooms with wonderful beddings, location superb, breakfast wonderful, front desk amazing, pretty Giada checked us in! We loved our stay we would give you 6 stars and would return in a heartbeat! We had a great time in Genoa and our stay in Bristol Palace was the highlight! Thank you for running a great hotel!"

"This is a fantastic property, you feel you are still in 1890 with the interior kept to that standard and time. Wonderful seating areas with a 1900 bar make you feel Poirot will come around a corner. Breakfast is served in a grand hall makes you think you are dining with royalty. We'll lo e to come back in the near future"
