Oceanfront – Captain’s House - Enjoy the view and beautiful beaches!

THE CAPTAIN’S HOUSE - Beautifully renovated oceanfront condo ideally situated on the north end of Amelia Island near Fort Clinch State Park and historic Fernandina Beach, just one mile away. Our backyard is the beach! The condo is a southeast corner unit on the ground floor, just a few steps from the front door. Once inside, everything is on one level. It features two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The primary bedroom has a new king-size mattress and an en-suite bath, while the secondary bedroom offers a queen bed with a twin trundle. A desk in the primary bedroom is perfect for teleworking. The living room includes a queen-size sofa bed. Enjoy a private deck for sipping coffee, wine, or reading a good book. Watch dolphins right from the deck! Or search for sharks' teeth and seashells while walking along the shoreline. When you return, rinse your feet in the conveniently located shower on the boardwalk. There are standard and Keurig coffee pots, two beach chairs, an umbrella, and beach towels.

THINGS TO DO

Amelia Island, situated in beautiful northeast Florida, features 13 miles of stunning beaches. While there, plan a visit to Fort Clinch State Park and step back in time as you explore this Civil War-era fort. The park offers biking and hiking trails, along with great spots for fishing. Just north of the Captain's House are Main Beach, the Sand Bar, Salt Life restaurants, and nearby attractions like mini-golf and a skate park.

Amelia Island offers a diverse selection of top-rated restaurants and nearly every cuisine imaginable. Antiquing in some of Amelia's shops is a popular activity for visitors, as is strolling through the charming Victorian downtown area to explore shops, dine at restaurants, or enjoy a sweet treat. Rental Agreement - Guests will be required to sign a rental agreement with Coastal Wave Properties.

OwnerRez - We use a booking system called OwnerRez, and you will receive communications through this platform.

Pets - One dog is permitted, and a non-refundable pet fee applies. Additionally, guests must sign a pet addendum to the lease.

Damage Protection - Included with this rental; however, guests are responsible for damages exceeding the policy coverage.

Security Deposit Hold - A hold is placed on your credit card and there are no upfront charges.

Parking - There are two parking spaces. Oversized vehicles will not fit.

Communication - Please provide an email address and mobile number that you will have access to during your stay and that you can check regularly.

We recommend that our guests purchase travel insurance for their protection. Coastal Wave does not offer refunds or date changes for weather events such as storms or hurricanes.

Great Stay! The Beach is your Backyard.

We visited after the winds and rain of Ian for the most part spared Amelia, while the ocean was a little temperamental - this condo was very accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay!

Great place on the beach

We enjoyed our stay at Captain's House. It was right on the beach and wasn't far from anything on the island. The kitchen was stocked with ample pots and pans for cooking. The rooms were nice and everything was updated.

This is an older condominium project that appears to be all rentals. It is well maintained, clean, and in a perfect location. We enjoyed it and appreciated the host’s hospitality.

Just perfect!

The property was exactly what we needed for our family vacation. Not only is there a private porch with direct access to the beach, the stretch of the beach in front of the condo is much less congested than other areas. The condo itself was clean and nicely stocked. We would book again.

We had a great time!

Fernandina Beach is our favorite summer vacation spot! My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is great and the home is decorated in a fresh and colorful decor. We would definitely recommend this cute condo and will keep it in mind for our next trip! The only recommendation that I have for the owners is to add a full size trashcan in the kitchen, but other than that we have no complaints!!

Perfect loction, perfect condo.

The condo was exactly as desribed in the listing. We loved how close it was to the beach, just a few steps away. It was also close to downtown Fernandina and easy to get to other locations. The neighborhood was great, neighbors in the building were very friendly. It was really everything we wanted for our girls week at the beach.

Beautiful Beach View & Great Location

Beautiful location right on the beach & close to downtown. Pets are allowed, & we had a easy time with our dog because the unit is located on the ground level. I was worried about privacy before we arrived, but the other guests were quiet and friendly. Interior of condo is modern and has a nice kitchen with everything that one would need.

Beach vacation

The place was perfect for familys. I was not worried about children wrecking the house. It was first floor so super easy to bring beach stuff back to house. Shopping was close by for groceries. Management very easy to work with.

We've stayed in another unit here previously, so we knew my elderly Mom could access the first floor units. Was accommodated nicely with comfortable and aesthetically pleasing furnishings. Beds were comfortable, nice linens. Everything worked, especially the ice maker!, which kept up with us ;-0 Lastly, the dog was allowed, which makes a vacation complete! This is a very comfortable appealing place to stay, right on the beach! We can't wait to go back.

Perfect location for our travels! Had everything we needed, easy parking and spacious for 2 couples. Can't get too much closer to the water! Easy beach access. Suggestions would be a throw blanket in the living room(it was chilly when we were there in March!) and a larger garbage can and also a recycle can. Great communication with owners/managers before and during our stay. Otherwise just right for us and would definitely stay again! Loved the 1st floor but the building was great.
