“Well maintained, large room. Quiet. Comfortable bed. Excellent stay!”

“No complaints about the room, it was fine. However we arrived on a Friday evening and wanted to eat close by, so we stopped at the restaurant inside, next to the casino. The lady at the door told us it was a chef’s choice buffet, which sounded promising. Well…have you ever been to a church in the Midwest that has a potluck dinner after the service? This is what that was, if you missed the dinner but showed up the next afternoon, and they’d left everything open and out on the counter overnight.……

“I only wanted a room for the night — but got much better with the views and the pool and a nice short order restaurant. The golf course looks great. Casinos aren’t my thing but others seemed to be having fun. Still, odd to find such a great place this in the far northwestern corner of Iowa amidst the cornfields!”

“Our room was only half painted. The fixtures looked ancient. I saw a red stain on the wall in the bathroom. The breakfast space was so cramped we could barely move between the juice and the waffles. Choices were very limited. When we arrived, we dialed 0 to get the desk manager. When she answered, her first words were “oh no.” The key to our room did not work, but the desk manager resolved the problem quickly.”

“This was the most disgusting hotel I've ever been in. First, its signage shows Pipestone Inn, nothing about OYO. We had to call to let him know we were even there! The smell was awful when we first walked in and a sign on the desk showed "We are apology for no cable TV in motel". We checked in anyway hoping the room would be ok. It WAS NOT!! There weren't pillowcases on the pillows, and they all had yellow stains all over them. The mattresses looked about 30 years old and didn't fit the beds.……
