“Large spacious room, very comfortable with great views of the village green. Lots of parking. Bathroom was spotless. Well stocked with tea, coffee and continental breakfast items (The Bell currently doesn’t offer a cooked breakfast). The pub restaurant was epic - fantastic menu with additional ‘specials’ and great desserts. Obviously popular with locals and repeat diners. The pub bar was friendly and a good range of ales on tap. Service was superb throughout and I’d recommend The Bell……

“What a gorgeous hotel. The garden room for the girls (our two Standard Poodles 💕) was absolutely perfect, they even had their own gift boxes and beds waiting for them, which was such a bonus. The team at The Royal George were wonderful, and Kirsty in particular couldn’t do enough for us. The whole place is spotless, beautifully thought through, and felt hugely welcoming. The Upper Deck restaurant was a real treat too, the monkfish was incredible, so if it’s on the menu, don’t……

“Very helpful reception staff very welcoming and informative. Room was very clean and ready for us. Bar and restaurant staff were also excellent attentive. We had an excellent meal, the bill needed a bit of sorting out as the system had difficulty sorting out the normal menu and the offered special but got there in the end. We were with friends ( who used to be in the hospitality industry) and overall we were impressed. Thank you to all at The Bear we will be back ”

“Absolutely wonderful stay. We were made to feel so welcome and well cared for. After letting the team know about our special dietary requirements (gluten-free), the manager was outstanding in ensuring we were fully accommodated — to the point that the service surpassed what I’ve experienced in some so-called 5-star hotels. A special mention to Evie, who was an absolute delight. Our room was clean and beautifully presented — a testament to excellent housekeeping.”
