The Islands at Mauna Lani D2 is newly renovated in tasteful, modern decor, and has a regal feel from the moment you enter the double-wide frosted glass front doors. This two-bedroom two and a half bathroom vacation rental comfortably sleeps six guests and offers plenty of indoor and outdoor space to relax after a day exploring the Big Island.

Just off the living room is a lanai with lounge chairs, table, and propane barbecue. Where this ground floor lanai ends, the lush Hawaiian landscaping begins. Take advantage of the huge flat grass lawn that extends for over 50 yards. Toss the football with the kids or teach a family member how to throw a frisbee so you can play on the beach later. The lawn is perfect for a sunset game of bocce ball as well!

With 2,100 square feet of living space spread out over two floors, this townhouse assures that all guests in your travel party can both mingle throughout the open floorplan and then retreat to private quarters to recharge the batteries. Prepare breakfasts in your full kitchen and choose to eat your meal at the dining room table, kitchen island, outdoor lanai, or gathered around the living room coffee table as you hash out the plans and activities for the day.

Because the bedroom suites are located on the second floor, some guests may opt to retreat to bed earlier in the night, while not being disturbed by others still moving around in the living room or kitchen below. Both bedrooms feature a king bed, private lanai, and en-suite bathroom with dual vanity and soaking tub. A daybed is also setup in the upstairs loft area to sleep two additional guests if needed.

Lovely place

We have stayed several places on the Mauna Lani property and have been coming for more than 30 years on and off. This was a bigger house than needed for two people, but a lovely retreat. Being close to the poolIs also a bonus
